2018 FA Cup Semi-Finals Predictions & Betting Odds

2018 FA Cup Semi-Finals Predictions Betting Odds

Chelsea, the reigning EPL champions, will look to salvage their season after a disappointing campaign with a win against Southampton to get themselves to the FA Cup Final. The Blues nearly pulled the Double last season but ultimately lost the FA Cup final to Arsenal. Chelsea never had much of a chance this season at defending their title in what has been a subpar year. The Blues sit in the 5th spot with a few games left to go. Southampton faces the prospect of regulation, and perhaps an FA Cup win can propel them to play better down the stretch.

Manchester United vs. Tottenham – Bovada Betting Odds

Manchester United vs. Tottenham Betting Odds

Manchester United and Tottenham are not in the best form as they head into their FA Cup semi-final on Saturday. Man U has lost to bottom club in recent weeks, West Bromwich Albion, last weekend. Tottenham lost to Manchester City and just got one point combined at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Tottenham is narrow favorites, perhaps because the game is at Wembley and is near their stomping grounds. The total is 2.5 goals and is juiced on the under at Bovada. United took care of Bournemouth 2-0 to bounce back after losing to West Brom. However, many of the club’s top players have faced heavy criticism. Manager Jose Mourinho threatened to drop them to the bench at Wembley. Tottenham drew at midweek at Brighton and haven’t performed well in FA Cup semi-finals, as the Spurs have lost seven consecutive semi-final games in the FA Cup.

FA Cup Semi-Finals Predictions

Manchester United rolls in this despite their some up and down play from them as of late. I like the moneyline at +230, as I don’t think a draw is likely.

Chelsea vs. Southampton – Bovada Betting Odds

Chelsea vs. Southampton Betting Odds

Chelsea is decent favorites in all markets, and the total is rather low at 2.5 goals, but with vigorish on the over. Mark Hughes has made changes in Southampton since he took over a month ago and they have upped scoring.

However, their defense has conceded plenty of goals, as well. The Saints faced Chelsea last weekend Stamford Bridge and went up 2-0 early, but the Blues stormed back and won the game 3-2 after scoring three goals in eight and a half minutes. Earlier in the game, Marcos Alonso made a tackle that could have gotten him a send-off, but that was not the case. Southhampton likely would have held onto their early lead against ten men. Alonso will be suspended for the semi-final after a retrospective ban from the FA for the tackle.

FA Cup Semi-Finals Predictions

Even with Alonso out, you must like Chelsea’s chances of winning this one by two goals. The Chelsea odds of -1(-125) at Bovada look attractive. The Blues take this one by a 2-0 or 3-1 scoreline.
