Avengers Endgame Odds - Will Captain America Die First? | Betting Preview

The Endgame is upon us. It’s time for the original 10-year Marvel’s Avengers experience to come to an end on April 25, when the “Avengers: Endgame” blockbuster gets to theaters. A lot has been said about the future of its main characters, especially Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans). MyBookie.ag has betting odds for the future of these two key members of the Avengers. Not so much about what could happen with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) or Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). Let’s dive right in:

What happened in the last Avengers Infinity War film?

The last time we saw the Avengers, the madman Thanos collected all six Infinity Stones and whipped out half of the humanity with the snap of the fingers. Spiderman, Black Panther, Star-Lord, Drax, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, and Doctor Strange are all gone. Now the faith of humanity is in the hands of the original Avengers. What we know or we seem to think we know is that someone will die. Here’s with the speculation begins. Will Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) Die in Avengers: Endgame?

The oddsmakers are MyBookie.ag seems to be thinking this will be Iron Man’s last movie. The -200 have an implied probability of 67% that Tony Stark will be one of the sacrificed from the original Avengers. Robert Downey Jr.’s contract ends after Avengers: Endgame, therefore the speculations have flown over the internet. However, that doesn’t mean the character Tony Stark necessarily has to die.

He’s engaged to Pepper Potts, and every time something happens in outer space, Iron Man is the one in the middle of every fight. Potts might be tired of Tony being in this situation every single time. She might suggest he quits the team. After all, in the original Avengers, he wasn’t supposed to be part of the group until he got drafted because Nick Fury had no choice. But let’s take a look at the other big name expected to die.

Will Captain America (Chris Evans) Die in Avengers: Endgame?

  • Yes +250
  • No -400

The oddsmakers are giving Captain America and a big fat NO when it comes to dying during Endgame. Chris Evans will appear in the next Spider-Man movie named Far from Home, but we have no idea how important his appearance will be. It might be only a cameo, and that won’t rule his possible death in Avengers Four. Here’s where it gets interesting. Back in October, Evans dropped this not so cryptic Tweet pretty much saying Good Bye to the Captain America character.

In several interviews, Evans has been straight forward saying he wants to do some directing soon. He’s not planning on combining the Avengers with other projects. It seems like he’s ready to stop playing the Captain America role. The last and one of the most fascinating prop bets for the Avengers: Endgame has to do with one of the not so family-friendly superheroes: Deadpool. Will Deadpool Make an Appearance in Avengers: Endgame?

The key about Deadpool is that he didn’t belong to the Marvel Comic Universe until Disney bought of 21st Century Fox back in March. Now, this deal was not surprising, because they were working on it over a year, but it seems to close for the directors to make space for Deadpool in this film.

The only way it could happen is in the post-credit scenes, and more likely in the second one, which is usually something funny. Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool is a naughty character that might need some work to fit in with the family-friendly Avengers.

Avengers End Game Predictions

I’m going to bet both the underdogs. I don’t see Marvel Studios killing both Tony Stark and Steve Rogers in the same film. Kids are watching for God sake. I do think the first Avenger; ergo, Captain America will go in some kind of sacrifice move that will make him legendary. So give me No (+400) on Iron Man’s death and Yes (+750) on Captain’s. But also, it’s hard NO on the Deadpool prop.
