College Football (NCAAF) Week 8 Top Games and Betting Odds

Top Games And Betting Odds – Week 8 Of 2019 NCAAF Season

Last week was fantastic for College football!

There were great games with plenty on the line, and upsets that changed the entire landscape of the playoffs.

During this week of NCAAF games, we get to see Ohio State, Clemson, LSU, Oregon, and Michigan all going on the road. More upsets might be on the way.

Let’s look at the best College Football games of week 8 and the betting odds:

Ohio State (6-0) vs. Northwestern (1-4)

The Buckeyes are coming off a bye week to play Northwestern. With Georgia’s loss last week, there is one less team to worry about for the playoff contention.

The betting line opened with Ohio State -27.5, but now the Buckeyes are -28 at The odds are not coming back down. If anything, it might go up another half a point before the kickoff.

QB Justin Fields is +900 to win the Heisman Trophy with 18 touchdowns against just one interception. Perception wise, this game is essential for Fields.

It’s on primetime on a Friday, which means he won’t have to compete for attention against a slate of games. Fields can shine with the eyes of the country on him.

Bet On Clemson Tigers vs. Louisville Cardinals NCAAF Week 8 Game At

Even though QB Trevor Lawrence is practically out of the Heisman Trophy conversation – Clemson remains a dominant force.

The Tigers will travel to Louisville listed favorites -24.5 at MyBookie. The betting line opened with Clemson -22, but 70% of the bets are going to the visitors’ side.

Clemson is riding a 21-win streak coming off their 45-14 win over Florida State last week. The streak is the best in the entire country.

Beating Texas in the Red River Showdown is always a cause for celebration. Yet, Oklahoma needs to be concerned about QB Jalen Hurts’ turnovers.

Hurts has thrown at least one interception in each of his last three games. He also lost a critical fumble against Texas. Not protecting the football against inferior teams hardly matters.

However, against top teams – especially in the playoffs – could be the difference between winning the championship or not.

Florida (6-1) vs. South Carolina (3-3)

Bet On Florida Gators vs. South Carolina Gamecocks NCAAF Week 8 Game At

Despite the loss against LSU, the Gators learned a lot about themselves last week. They went toe-to-toe against one of the hottest teams in the nation.

The Gators opened -5.5 on the road against South Carolina, but now the line is at -6.

So far, 75% of the betting public is taking Florida to cover on the road.

The Gamecocks are coming off the biggest upset of the 2019 College Football season, beating Georgia 20-17 in overtime. Keep an eye on QB Ryan Hilinski. He had a sprained knee last week, and although he is expecting to play on Saturday, his mobility might be an issue.

LSU’s QB Joe Burrows is now +300 to win the Heisman Trophy. He’s only behind Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa (+115).

Burrows took the SEC offensive player of the week for the fourth time this season after posting 293 yards and three scores against a very aggressive Florida defense.

The Tigers took the most significant leap in the rankings, moving from fifth to second. The betting line opened with LSU -18 but now is at -19.5.

After the win over Florida, 68% of the bets are on LSU to cover on the road.

Oregon (5-1) vs. Washington (5-2)

Bet On Oregon Ducks vs. Washington Huskies NCAAF Week 8 Game At

Oregon has given up just one TD in five games since allowing three touchdowns in their week one loss to Auburn.

Their meeting against Washington will be their biggest challenge since facing the Tigers in the opener.

The question is, which Washington are we going to see on Saturday? The team that beat USC and Arizona without many problems. Or the one that looked flat in the loss against Stanford.

Bet On Arizona State Sun Devils vs. Utah Utes NCAAF Week 8 Game At

True freshman QB Jayden Daniels is the guy to follow in this game. Arizona State has made a habit of winning in a dramatic fashion since he took over the starting QB position.

Last week, Daniels scrambled to find the endzone in the final seconds to beat Washington State at home.

Utah will try to answer with star RB Zack Moss. He recorded 121 rushing yards and two scores against Oregon State last week even though he sat out the second half.

The Utes opened -13.5, and the betting line hasn’t moved at all despite Arizona State getting 70% of the bets.

Michigan (5-1) vs. Penn State (6-0)

Michiganvs.Penn State
+9 (-110)Spread-9 (-110)
Bet On Michigan Wolverines vs. Penn State Nittany Lions NCAAF Week 8 Game At

Penn State got the job done against Iowa last week. It wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win. The same scenario will be at stake against Michigan this week. The Nittany Lions need the W, and it hardly matters how they get it.

Michigan looked great against Illinois last week, but Jim Harbaugh has let us down in the past whenever we overhyped his team. Facing a stellar Penn State defense will tell us a lot about where the Wolverines are at this point in the season.

Penn State is now -9 after opening -7.5. The bets for this game are split. I don’t expect any sudden movement for the rest of the week.

Tennessee (2-4) vs. Alabama (6-0)

+34.5 (-110)Spread-34.5 (-110)
Bet On Tennessee Volunteers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide NCAAF Week 8 Game At

Alabama is just sailing through a very easy schedule, waiting for LSU in three weeks. Bama has scored 45+ points in the last five games. It is the third-longest streak in SEC history.

The Tide opened -33, but then the betting line moved one and a half points.

Tennessee doesn’t look like a team that can end the 45+ points scoring streak, nor do they have the offense to be this competitive.
