The International 2019, the wealthiest eSports tournament in the history of competitive gaming, is now well into its Main Event knockout stage. The field of Dota 2 powerhouses has been whittled down to 10 from 24.
Hosted in Shanghai, China, with a prize pool nearing $34 million, TI9 has not disappointed up to this point and is sure to produce exciting Dota 2 action in its closing stages.
Action resumes with the Lower Bracket finals and the Grand Final.

Upper Bracket Results
In the early hours of Thursday morning, two of the world’s best Dota 2 teams clashed for a spot in the Upper Bracket Finals on the line. The hometown heroes Vici Gaming arrived at TI9 as the in-form squad having won the most recent Dota Pro Circuit major, EPICENTER, in June.
After finishing second in Group B with 11 points and knocking off TNC Predator, 2-1, in the first round of the Upper Bracket, Vici met countrymen PSG.LGD in the Upper semis.
PSG, a team that had not won a Pro Circuit major in 2018-19, surprised many when they finished first in Group A, ahead of Team Secret, who finished the season atop the Pro Circuit standings.
EG finished higher in the Pro Circuit standings with three third-places finishes at majors, but OG dismissed the North Americans, 2-0, in group play and are the defending TI champions.
OG were the winning team of the second Upper Bracket semifinal fixture with a 2-0 victory over Evil Geniuses.

Sent to the Lower Bracket, Vici will face PSG, who will have shown their quality with a 2-1 win over EG in the Lower fifth round. This would be a rematch of an Upper second round match where Vici came out on top, 2-1.
There’s no reason to think Vici could replicate their earlier performance, but it’s also tough to beat a top-tier opponent twice at the same LAN. This is a toss-up; bet the spread in favor of the underdog and enjoy the ride.
In the end, we’re giving the hometown heroes Vici the edge.
Favorites To Bet On At The Grand Finals Of DOTA 2 The International 2019
OG rolls into the Grand Finals via the Upper Bracket and is thus the heavy favorite.
Vici would need to defeat OG twice in back-to-back best-of-five series to be crowned champions on home soil—a tall task for any team in any eSport. OG was dominant in the group stage and set the tone for the rest of the tournament.
Should they reach the Grand Finals via the Upper Bracket, they will have played near-perfect Dota.
It would take an epic collapse for OG to squander their position, and as such, look for OG to get out in front of Vici early, defeating them 3-1 in the Grand Finals to repeat as The International champions.
