LoL Championship Series Spring Season Betting Preview – Best LCS Odds & Bets
The League of Legends LCS 2019 Spring Season is a few weeks in, and it looks to continue providing intense action and, most importantly, lots of games to bet on. This season is great for bettors of all experience types as well, whether you’re putting into your first wager or understand every single line.
And why is that? Well, in addition to plenty of betting avenues for those a little green to eSports betting, there’s a bevy of information to look at for veteran bettors. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the teams to watch, players to keep an eye on, and, most importantly, how we can all cash some tickets. After all, as my favorite radio host (and personal idol) Brent Musburger always says, “Cashing tickets is what it’s all about.”
League Of Legends LCS Teams To Watch
Alright, I’m not going to waste your time with all of my darkhorse favorites right off the bat. Let’s be honest with ourselves, Team Liquid is on a bit of a tear. They’re currently undefeated at 4-0 and sit in the top 5 League of Legends rankings. Which, pardon my lack of swearing, is pretty darn good. Additionally, there’s not much competition currently in the rearview mirror. While FlyQuest is only a game behind at 3-1, every other team in the season is currently .500 or below.
Additionally, Golden Guardians have hardly lived up to their awesome name, currently winless this season. Despite this, having a large number of middling teams offers great opportunities for more close lines and intense matches as the mid-tier teams duel it out. It just might make the odds in any game involving teams with the words “Liquid” and “Golden” a tad bit lopsided.
Players To Watch During LoL LCS
This season has no shortage of vital players. After years of bouncing from team to team, jungler Lee “Rush” Yoon-jae has a promising future with Echo Fox. The experienced Nicolaj Jensen, years removed from his competitive ban, is a major bright spot for Team Liquid. And, last but not least, 100 Thieves should consider themselves extremely lucky that Bae “Bang” Jun-sik decided to come over from SK Telecom T1. Man, all these amazing eSports players make me wish I had focused on competitive gaming instead of wasting my childhood playing Monopoly on my Game Boy.
Upcoming LoL LCS Betting Lines
Now that you’ve got some background on the season, let’s talk turkey. There are some great lines coming up in Week 3 that you should definitely consider. Some current lines from Bovada include Team Liquid (-450) heavily favored (understatement of the year) against OpTic (+290), Clutch Gaming (+115) facing an uphill battle against 100 Thieves (-160), and Golden Guardians (+220) hoping to fill in the win column against Team SoloMid (-315). However, I’m looking for the completely even match of Computer Logic Gaming (-115) and Echo Fox (-115).
While the consistent odds may make the match seem like you can decide your wager with a simple coin flip, here’s my opinion, take it or leave it. Despite the aforementioned presence of Rush, Echo Fox doesn’t have my full confidence just yet, with one of their wins coming against the aforementioned winless Golden Guardians. (Sorry to keep piling on, Guardians.) Meanwhile, Computer Logic Gaming is on a two-game win streak, with one of their earlier losses coming against the high-flying Team Liquid. Call it a hunch or plenty of betting experience, but I say go for the hot hand and bet on Computer Logic Gaming.
Upcoming Games To Keep An Eye On During LCS
As I said, the current standings are not exactly showing a lot of promise for more than a handful of teams. However, a lot can happen in the coming weeks, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the middle tier begin to break up as the competition heats up. As it stands right now, the matches I’m most looking forward to betting on are Computer Logic Gaming’s rematch against OpTic in Week 8 (because I believe the line will be quite close) and Team Liquid squaring off against Golden Guardians in Week 7 (because that line will probably be pretty insane). However, don’t count out FlyQuest’s matchup against Team Liquid in Week 8, which will undoubtedly have major implications for the future of the season. And, yes, will definitely be worth betting on.

League Of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Futures
Unfortunately, there don’t appear to be any futures posted for the LCS Spring Season. However, definitely keep an eye on Bovada, MyBookie, and BetOnline for those to pop up. Team Liquid might be the favorite, but I would consider taking a flyer on .500 teams such as Computer Logic Gaming and Cloud 9 with good odds. Just keep refreshing the sites every few seconds until they’re posted, that seems like the best option.
