NFL Prop Bets Picks - Divisional Playoff Games

I’m sad there are only seven games left in the NFL season, but I’m pumped about the NFL divisional playoffs this weekend. It’s a great chance to find some value across all four games, especially with the best prop bets available. Check out these winning plays and odds at Mybookie.ag Sportsbook.

First score of the game Indianapolis Colts vs. Kansas City

  • Touchdown -200
  • Field goal or safety +180

Between Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Colts QB Andrew Luck threw a combined 89 touchdowns during the regular season. It is the most between two players clashing in a playoffs matchup. It’s safe to say both are touchdown machines who enjoyed a tremendous season. Mahomes is going against a fierce Colts defense, but I’m sure Indy’s D is more worried about stopping Mahomes than the other way around. Andrew Luck has a favorable matchup against the Chiefs defense that was weak, to say the least, all season.

Both quarterbacks have the edge, and both know this will be a high-scoring game starting from the first possession. In fact, the game total in this game is the highest of all the four divisional matchups. The oddsmakers know this game will be a shootout. I will be shocked if any of these teams start the first drive with anything other than a touchdown.

Winning of Margin Los Angeles Chargers vs. New England Patriots

  • New England Patriots by 1 to 6 points +325

The Chargers are a loaded team on both sides of the ball I get that, but let’s play the chances here. The Patriots are the home team and undefeated at Gillette Stadium I should add. They are the more experienced team in these instances. They have the most winning QB-head coach combination in the history of the NFL playoffs in Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

If they win this game, it won’t be a surprise to anybody. They are in an excellent spot to make it happen, and the oddsmakers are giving us a sweet deal at +325. The winning margin won’t be more than a touchdown because there isn’t a huge gap between one team to the other. In fact, the Chargers had a better overall regular season record. Getting the Patriots +325 with a winning margin from 1 to 6 points is as good as a pro bet you will find.

Player to Score 1st Touchdown Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Rams

  • Michael Gallup (DAL) +1800

Bear with me on this one. I get that Michael Gallup is not the Cowboys number one option in the passing game, but he’s getting the benefit from opponents double-teaming Amari Cooper. It was evident last week when the Cowboys beat the Seahawks. Whenever Dak Prescott needed a big completion, and Amari was not available, Gallup showed up. There is a lot of value on him especially going against Rams Marcus Peters. I’m thinking Aqib Talib will probably follow Amari to the end of the earth, letting Gallup against Peters. Marcus was one of the best cornerbacks in the game in the past, but he’s not anymore. He had one of his worst seasons in the NFL in 2018.

If you are thinking Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (+600) or Rams RB Todd Gurley (+400) would have a better chance of scoring first, you are not seeing the big picture. Dallas stopped the Seahawks running game last week and their number one goal this weekend is to do the same with Gurley. And as much as I like Zeke running all over the place, whenever the Cowboys get to the red zone, the play calling doesn’t give him the ball. Zeke scored only six rushing touchdowns this season. Gallup represents the biggest matchup problem for the Rams defense, and it has good enough value to put a winning play on it.
