NHL Consensus Picks Expert’s Report Card: After 72 NHL Season Games

Vegas Golden Knights vs. Montreal Canadiens

Every ten games or so I look at how each team would have done if you bet $100 on every one of their games. I compare all the team’s numbers and see which team is the best to bet on and which team is the worst. You can find the past six articles in the Sports Betting Blog section. The odds I use to keep track of this data can be found at Sportsbetting – Don’t Miss 75% Up To $1000 Bonus.

The NHL is reaching the final stretch of the season. Teams are beginning to clinch playoff spots and other teams are officially eliminated from playoff contention. Boston and Florida had a game earlier this season postponed due to weather conditions, so both teams have only played 71 games. Every other team in the NHL has played at least 72 games. Here are how teams rank as we close in on the end of the regular season.

Top NHL Hockey Teams

Vegas Golden Knights

Vegas Golden KnightsThe best expansion team of all time continues to be on the top of my betting list. The Golden Knights are close to clinching their spot in the playoffs and it shows on the list. If you bet $100 on every Golden Knights game, you would have won $1944.10. The Golden Knights are a good team to look on betting on during the last stretch of the season.

Colorado Avalanche

The Avalanche have made an amazing turnaround this season. Colorado ended up in last place of the NHL last season. Now the Avalanche are in a wild card position. Colorado would have won you $1311.56 if you bet $100 on all their games. The Avalanche are going to be playing their best hockey in the next couple weeks as they try and clinch their playoff position.

Nashville Predators

The Predators were the first team to clinch a playoff position this season. Nashville sits on top of the rankings for the entire NHL. Nashville would have won you $1300.08 if you bet $100 on every game. Nashville has been heating up recently. They have won fourteen of their last fifteen games.

Bottom NHL Hockey Teams

Montreal Canadiens

Montreal Canadiens LogoThe Canadiens have fallen far in both the standings and in betting numbers. Montreal would have lost you $2348.70 if you bet $100 on every one of their games. The Canadiens have struggled fiercely throughout the season, which is unfortunate for a team who was first in their division last season.

Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks dynasty seems to be falling apart. Chicago has been a model of excellency for the last decade but have not been able to play well at all this season. If you bet $100 on every Blackhawks game, you would have lost $1592.61. Chicago is a team to avoid for the rest of the season.

Arizona Coyotes

The Coyotes have found themselves on this list all season long but are not as low as they were in the last list. Arizona still would have lost you $1539.03 if you bet $100 on all their games. The Coyotes will enter the offseason again trying to finish the rebuild.

NHL Hockey Teams With The Biggest Changes

Columbus Blue Jackets

St. Louis Blues LogoThe Blue Jackets have been red hot entering the final stretch of the season. Columbus has won nine games in a row. The Blue Jackets would have lost you $728.58 during the last article I wrote. Now Columbus would have won you $38.66 if you bet $100 on all their games. Columbus picked the best time to heat up as the playoffs near.

Dallas Stars

Dallas has gone in the opposite direction as the Blue Jackets. The Stars were in the playoff picture during my last article. Now the Stars are sitting a couple of points outside the playoff picture.  If you bet $100 on all the Stars games during my last article you would have won $54.21. Now if you bet $100 on all their games you would have won $620.79. The Stars are falling in the standings, but still have time to save their season if they can string some wins together.

Philadelphia Flyers

Like the Stars, the Flyers have picked a bad time to hit a slump. Philadelphia would have won you $376.63 if you bet $100 on all their games last article. Now if you bet $100 on all their games, you would have lost $15.54. The Flyers need to improve a bit if they want to keep their playoff spot.
