The NHL season ended on Sunday night. The Boston Bruins lost to the Florida Panthers in the regular season finale. It is hard to believe that every NHL team has made it through an 82-game season. Now the most exciting time of year starts. The NHL Playoffs kick off on April 11. Here is a quick recap of how NHL teams did in terms of betting this season.

Vegas was able to win the Pacific Division and have booked a playoff matchup against the Los Angeles Kings. If you bet $100 on each of the Golden Knights games this season, you would have won $1750.50. That is the best total out of all the NHL teams this season.

Nashville Predators

The Predators made a magical run through the playoffs last season but fell short in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Penguins. Nashville bounced back in a big way and took the President’s Trophy as the best team in the regular season. Now the Predators will look to get back to the Stanley Cup finals. Their first-round matchup will be against the Avalanche. If you bet $100 on every Predators game, you would have won $1233.87.

Winnipeg Jets

The Jets have quietly been one of the best teams in the NHL this season. You would have won $1188.35 if you bet $100 on every Winnipeg Jets game. Winnipeg looks to carry some momentum into the playoffs as they take on the Minnesota Wild.

Bottom NHL Hockey Teams

Montreal Canadiens

Montreal Canadiens LogoThe Canadiens find themselves at the bottom of this list, only one year after winning the Atlantic Division. Montreal has struggled to get going this season and it shows in their final betting totals. If you bet $100 on every Canadiens game, you would have lost $2657.27.

Buffalo Sabres

Buffalo has finished this season at the bottom of the standings. The Sabres will have the best odds at getting the number one overall draft pick in the upcoming NHL Entry Draft. Buffalo would have lost you $1748.27 if you bet $100 on each of their games.

Ottawa Senators

The Senators are another team that have had a steep fall after making the playoffs only last season. Ottawa has not been successful, even after making a huge trade with Colorado to acquire Matt Duchene. The Senators would have lost you $1620.94 if you bet $100 on each of their games.

NHL Playoff Teams With Biggest Changes

New Jersey Devils

Now New Jersey will play the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round of the playoffs. Last article if you bet $100 on each of the New Jersey’s games, you would have won $638.77. Now if you bet $100 on every Devils game, you would have won $1024.20.

San Jose Sharks

The Sharks will open the first round of the playoffs against the Ducks. Anaheim will have home ice advantage during the series due to the Sharks being unable to lock up second place in the Pacific Division. San Jose held second place in the Pacific Division most of the season but have struggled towards the end of the season. If you bet $100 on every Sharks game last article, you would have won $287.04. Now San Jose would have won you $38.49 if you bet $100 on each of their games.

Washington Capitals

The Capitals were able to clinch the top spot in the Metropolitan Division after a strong finish to the season. Washington has struggled in the playoffs in the past, but they will look to overcome it this season. The Capitals open the first round of the playoffs against the Blue Jackets. If you bet $100 on every Capitals game last article you would have won $380.34. Washington would have won you $724.93 if you bet $100 on all 82 of their games.
