Odds to Win the 2018 BMW Championship
|Player||Odds||Last Win/Runner-Up Year||Last Win/Runner Up Score|
|Dustin Johnson||+750||Winner – 2016||265|
|Justin Rose||+1200||Runner-Up (T2) – 2017||266|
|Brooks Koepka||+1400||T12 – 2017||273|
|Justin Thomas||+1400||T47 – 2017||279|
|Bryson DeChambeau||+1600||T33 – 2017||276|
|Rory McIlroy||+1600||T58 – 2017||282|
|Jason Day||+2000||4th – 2017||268|
|Jordan Spieth||+2000||T7 – 2017||271|
|Tony Finau||+2000||T7 – 2017||271|
|Hideki Matsuyama||+2200||T47 – 2017||279|
|Rickie Fowler||+2500||Runner-Up (T2) – 2017||266|
Dustin Johnson is a firm favorite here, as he’s considerably lower payout than the rest of the field at +750. Rose’s above success puts him 2nd behind Johnson. Then we have the usual names of Thomas, Mcllroy, and Day.
Tiger Woods, along with Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler, have been mired in a winless drought. Woods has been much longer, he hasn’t won a tournament since the 2013 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, but it’s also been over a year for Spieth and Fowler. Woods is +2000 to win this weekend’s tournament. He and Spieth did not help their cause in the Dell Technology Championship. Fowler’s playoff standings did not improve as he sat out both of the two postseason events so far with an oblique injury.
Our Picks To Win The 2018 BMW Championship
Justin Thomas +1400
Thomas is by far my favorite pick to win the BMW Championship. He’s an elite golfer, and this field is jammed packed with talent, but I think he’s coming into this one in good form and with the most significant advantage on this course. Aronimink favors players who can drive the ball a long way. That’s right in his wheelhouse. In the last 40 rounds, he ranks No. 1 in strokes gained. He needs to move up the FedEx Cup rankings to give himself a shot at the $10 million-dollar bonus once again.
Hideki Matsuyama +2200
Matsuyama has suffered from inconsistent play over the last few events, but we’ve seen flashes of brilliance. He has played well lately, with three top-15 finishes in the past three tournaments on the PGA Tour. He’s had some fantastic rounds over the past few weeks but has yet to put it all together to win a tournament.
Tony Finau +2000
Finau has yet to be picked for Ryder Cup team, which may give him extra motivation coming into the third league of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He’s been right on the cusp of winning a major tournament, finishing second at the Northern Trust and fourth in the Dell Technologies Championship. He’s just missed three cuts this year and has ten to-10 finishes. At 20/1, he has as good a shot as anyone to win at Aronimink.
