Odds To Win The Eastern NBA Conference

Odds To Win The Eastern NBA Conference

The East is a bit more wide open than in years past, with the Cavaliers as favorites to take down the conference at +125, followed by the Raptors at +150. The Celtics would likely be near the top of the list, but the franchise is dealing with a host of injuries. Next up we have the Sixers at +600, which has been a trendy pick with their strong finish to the regular season.

Prediction: I can’t help being drawn to the Cavaliers at +125. Their poor finish to the regular season has a lot of people off them, but we’ve seen LeBron’s dominance in the postseason. The team around him is not one of his best, but King James has led teams to the finals that are a lot worse than this. There is a lot of value on Cleveland at +125. With everyone down on them this year, it’s a beautiful spot to take the Cavaliers.

Odds To Win The Western NBA Conference

Odds To Win The Western NBA Conference

It should be an exciting Western Conference when it comes to series-by-series breakdowns, but there are only two real contenders that can come out the West, the Houston Rockets at +125 and Golden State Warriors at +100. You’re on your own with any of the other longshots.

Prediction: It’s tough to predict the Warriors’ not coming out of the West, but with Curry sidelined for at least part of the playoffs and the Rockets dominance – I think they’re the team to take coming out of the West. Even with these two teams at full strength – I think Houston has an excellent chance to beat them. However, I don’t love them quite as much at +125 to win the West compared to their odds to win the NBA title.

Odds To Win The 2018 NBA Championship

Odds To Win The 2018 NBA Championship

The Warriors are the odds-on favorite to win the title at +140 with the Rockets behind them at +175 and the Cavaliers a distant +700. The East-leading Raptors are just behind them at +800. The closest team behind them are the Sixers at +2000.

Prediction: It’s clear in my mind and that of the oddsmakers that is extremely likely for the winner to come out of the Western Conference. I much prefer betting the Rockets to win it all at +175, rather than taking them at +125 to win the West. I think this is James Harden’s and the Rockets’ turn to finally get themselves a title.
