49ers’ Nick Bosa May Be NFL’s Best Defensive Rookie Of The Year Of All Time
49ers’ Nick Bosa Is A Powerhouse Rookie
The San Francisco 49ers are 7-0 going into week 9, and one of the main reasons for that is their rookie from Ohio State, Nick Bosa.
The 49ers scored big in 2019 when they drafted defensive end Nick Bosa at No. 2 overall in the NFL Draft. Bosa is not only the league’s runaway Defensive Rookie of the Year but he is the strongest candidate for Defensive Player of the Year. The San Francisco linebacker is on track to be one of the best ever.
Bosa Is A Beast On The D-Line
Bosa just got three more sacks against the Panthers in the Niners’ 51-13 rout Sunday. He is up to seven in seven games. He also nearly scored while returning the first interception of his career.
He’s well on pace to reach 16 sacks. Well over the rookie record, 14.5, set by the Titans’ Jevon Kearse in 1999.
Key Player For San Francisco
Bosa is a crucial piece in making San Francisco a growing favorite to win Super Bowl 54. He has been a dominant run defender, and part of the 49ers elite pass defense.
They’re now the team to beat in the NFC, despite Bosa having a limited time early in the season due to an ankle injury.
Impressive Performance So Far
He’s already making waves as the Defensive Player of the Week.
In week 5, he managed to rip the Browns for two sacks and a forced fumble. He’s in a fantastic position to win the award again for Week 8.
Will Bosa Perform Vs. The Cardinals?
The 49ers will be playing the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night. Bosa is bound to put on a fabulous game against a team that has already allowed 26 sacks in eight games.
Bosa’s Future During The 2019 NFL Season
Without Bosa, the 49ers would not be enjoying an undefeated season. He’s taking over games, hitting quarterbacks, and disrupting the backfield. Nick is also setting the tone for everything defensive coordinator Robert Saleh wants, and he’s the team’s unquestioned MVP.
A sweep of both top defensive awards and a run at a Super Bowl ring are firmly in play.
Nick Bosa is one player you need to keep your eye on in the next few years.
