May 2020 Safest Betting Sites
DirectBet posted the following message on their homepage on May 21, 2017:
Withdrawal of Funds
Unlike many other BTC sites that have seemingly disappeared from the internet – DirectBet didn’t screw their players. In fact, due to their betting model, they never had a chance to do so.
DirectBet never required players to sign up for accounts, and they never held bitcoins in cold storage or otherwise. Bettors could simply send the amount they wanted to bet to a specified BTC Address and when the bet settled – customers would receive the winnings back to any BTC address of their choosing.
Kudos to DirectBet
Although their odds weren’t the best, DirectBet ran a responsible and upstanding sportsbook. Betting sites that are a few years old that end up closing often results in the loss of player funds whether intentionally or due to mismanagement.
The bookmaker decided to go another direction, but all players were paid in full. They even allowed their poker product to stay open so that users could claim their final VIP Rewards. We’re happy at SBS about not having to add another site to our scam sportsbook section.
