Esports Betting News - Launch Of Pooled Betting For Video Gaming

Online video gaming competitions are growing fast all over the world fans have been able to bet on it. Now Esports teams can do it as well. The Esports Entertainment Group Inc introduced a new pooled betting on video game contests. This makes Esports’ VIE.gg, the world’s first video gaming betting exchange that provides this pooled-betting option. “We’ve just launched the pooled-betting option live for the public to see for the first time. It just came out this morning,” Esports CEO Grant Johnson said to ProActiveIvestors.com in a phone interview.

Esports Betting News - Launch Of Pooled Betting For Video Gaming“We’re the only company that has a bet exchange, and now we’re offering pooled betting as a line-extension product,” he added. The idea is simple. The fans and the teams can bet on the winners of any of the gaming competition available. If betting fans win, they will receive a percentage of the pool winnings. “Their fans have never been able to bet on those teams except for on our site,” Johnson explained. “We’re allowing smaller pro team fans to bet on their teams for the first time.”

The Esports betting pool still is on a trial basis but is a huge step for sports betting fans. Instead of betting on an NBA or NFL team, fans can bet on gaming teams. Right now the launch is engaged with 10 smaller teams competing with each other. Burning Foxes, Red Fear Wild, and GeekCase eSports are amongst the one available to bet on. “We’re testing it out with 10 teams,” Johnson added. “We didn’t want to start with 175 teams because it’s difficult to control.”

Esports Entertainment Group Aiming for Europe

Connecticut, Mississippi, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia have passed laws allowing sports betting and other states are set to join them soon. However, the Esports Entertainment Group Inc is focusing on expanding in Europe first. They applied for an online gambling license in Malta. “We know there’s demand,” Johnson said of betting on e-sports. “Now it comes down to execution. With 100 e-sports teams and 250-plus e-sports influencers as our partners already, we’re well on our way to becoming a dominant player in this space.”

Being the first to offer pool betting on video game contests was not Esports’ VIE.gg only goal. They are in the business of providing exchange-style wagering on e-sports events in a licensed, regulated and secured platform. They will avoid any jurisdiction that prohibits online gambling. Amongst the games where people can wager are Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO), LOL, Dota 2, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Hearthstone and StarCraft II.

“We just got all the pieces together. We want to make sure all the pieces are in place,” Johnson said. “I believe we will be one of the top 10 operators” as an online gambling exchange in the coming years. Esports Entertainment Group Inc number one competitor is Unikrn, which is a sports betting company, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Unikrn, however, is still trying to establish esports odds betting in America. Part of it investors include Mark Cuban, Elisabeth Murdoch, and Ashton Kutcher.
