Thunderpick Gets Creative To Attract US eSports Betting Players
The eSports betting operator Thunderpick is seeking to innovate with a social betting platform. While the US market still doesn’t have all the permission to bet on eSports, Thunderpick will try to add a social platform that separates them from the rest of the eSports betting industry. Their idea is to isolate from the traditional sportsbooks.
Thunderpick is aiming to threat the eSports gaming players in a completely different way. They will have a host of real-time social functionality into its eSports betting platform. It will allow eSports fans to watch and interact with other players in real time. While that will create a social community with a snowball effect, where does the gaming part fill in? Thunderpick will offer a rewards system to the platform, with elements like a real-time leaderboard for players and social casino games that can be shared and played with other eSports fans.
“With fixed odds betting you are wagering against the sportsbook at the odds given whereas in pool betting you are simply wagering against other players who are betting on the same event. To maximize profits and minimize losses traditional bookmakers will often set unrealistic odds to lure players into bets they wouldn’t normally make. Odds in pool betting are set based on players decisions and represent actual belief among the players on the outcome of the wager, making this system both transparent and fair”, reads in the Thunderpick statement.
“Our betting model allows us to create more interesting, multiple choice in-play bets, which make wagering even more exciting and rewarding. The more complicated a bet is, the higher the payout will potentially be. New, innovative bets will keep you entertained for a long time to come”, it added.
The Thunderpick Mobile App
Thunderpick is aiming for a mobile app to be launched early in 2019. It will have different features, including betting and commenting on live tournament action. Currently, the eSports matchups available as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends and Dota 2.
The corporation opened with a pari-mutuel eSports betting model in 2016. They have the task to become one of the top-5 eSports betting companies across the world. “Unlike some cash-burning eSport start-ups, Thunderpick is already profitable. It confirms that we have secured a dedicated audience that puts trust in our products and integrity,” said Mateusz Jamiolkowski, co-founder of Thunderpick.
“With the eSports market growing 14% year-on-year in terms of its fan base and over 27% year-on-year in revenue during the next three years, Thunderpick is ready for major investments to take eSports betting into the next decade and beyond.” Newzoo has established that the eSports fans will go from 380 million people watching and talking about it in 2018 to 550 million in 2021. Thunderpick already has over 275,000 customers wagering on eSports daily. The eSports betting industry is here, and it won’t be leaving anytime soon.
