2019 MLB All-Star Game Betting Odds and Expert Prediction

MLB All-Star Game: National League vs American League Betting Picks

The MLB All-Star game doesn’t decide home-field advantage in the World Series anymore, (thank god) but the Midsummer classic is still a fun event, and most importantly, a betting opportunity.

The odds are out for the National League All-Stars vs. the American League All-Stars for the 2019 All-Star Game which will take place Tuesday, July 9 at Progressive Field. The game will start at 7:30 PM EST and be broadcasted on FOX.

We’ll break down the All-Star rosters, along with the runline, moneyline, and total odds. Our odds are provided by MyBookie.ag, our top reviewed online sportsbook. As we get closer to the game, they will add more betting propositions for the All-Star game.

MLB All-Star Game Odds

The American League is the favorite in the All-Star game at most sportsbooks. At MyBookie.ag, they are -115 compared to the National League’s -105. The runline has the AL’s -1.5 at +165. Bettors will pay a steep price for the NL at +1.5 at -195. The total is 8.5 runs. The over is juiced at -125 and the under is +105.

Our All-Star Game Prediction: Since opening, we haven’t seen the odds move much. I would lean towards the National League with the slight discount in price. These teams are very closely matched, but I would give the edge to the NL when it comes to hitters. Pitching is a lot closer and I would give a slight edge to the AL here. So, my gun-the-head play is the National League at -105.

The better play here is the under. The pitchers on both sides are fantastic, and while progressive is a hitter-friendly ballpark, you can bet that managers will be taking advantage of their large pool of pitchers and playing all the matchups they can.

Also, betting on the under in the All-Star Game just makes sense, especially when it comes to general sports betting strategy. My favorite bet in this game is the under 8.5 runs.
