NYY – C. Sabathia (L) +179 at CLE – C. Kluber -191 Total: 7.5

ALDS – Yankees at Indians – Free PicksNew York will go will C.C. Sabathia with their postseason future on the line. The southpaw has a 9-5 record in the postseason with a 4.47 ERA throughout his career. He pitched well in Game 2, giving up just two runs in 5.1 innings. However, the Yankees did lose the game 9-8.

Ace Corey Kluber will take the mound for the Tribe as he looks to avenge his poor Game 2 performance, where he gave up six runs in just 2.2 innings. He will take on New York will full rest. Kluber had a fantastic regular season, going 18-14 with a 2.25 ERA and a whopping 265 strikeouts.

Betting Action

Most of the bets have come in Kluber and the Indians so far, which has pushed the odds from a -180-opening number to -191 or greater at many other spots. The total is at 7.5 runs and has not moved since opening. Bettors have favored the over so far.

This is a tough one to predict. Kluber is one of the best pitchers in baseball, but Sabathia has been strong and durable this season. He’s been better than advanced metrics have suggested and Yankees bats have been hitting the ball hard this postseason.

I do worry about Kluber from a control standpoint and think that C.C. can keep them in this game at least until the later innings. At +179, that’s enough for me to go with the Yankees.

Pick: New York Yankees +179 at
