Auburn Vs. Alabama – College Football Week 13 Picks
Alabama has been pretty much untouchable this season. They will enter the 2018 Iron Bowl with the biggest spread difference in the last 23 years. What should be a big rivalry in the South, hasn’t felt like one since Cam Newton left for the NFL. The Tide keeps earning silverware every year and Tigers are on a constant rebuilding phase. Now Alabama seeks not only to beat their SEC rival but to embarrass them.
MyBookie.ag has Alabama as a 25.5-point favorite in the spread for this game. The betting line opened at 24-points, but it quickly escalated 1.5 points. So far, 56% of the betting public is taking the Tide and swallowing the points. The game total is currently at 53 points after it opened at 52.
Auburn Tigers Vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Predictions
Last year Auburn stunningly beat Alabama 26-14. I’m sure Nick Saban hasn’t forgotten about that. Alabama has perhaps one of their best teams in school history during 2018, and they are about to pour it over the Tigers. The Tide didn’t have their best showing last week against the small Citadel, going into halftime tied at 10 points. Saban corrected a few things and perhaps screamed to some of his players. Bama scored 40 points in the second half. I can’t see Alabama having another slow start, this time against the Tigers.
Auburn has won three of their last four outings, but the key matchup is perhaps the loss against Georgia during that span. Their 27-10 defeat to the Bulldogs opened a lot of eyes. The Tigers are not worthy of competing with the best teams in the SEC this year. While ‘bama averages 48.7 points per game, third best in the nation, Auburn scores 29.7. The Tigers are about to face one of the best defenses in all College Football. That average is about to drop. Auburn defense is not bad a one, but they haven’t faced an offense like this the one ‘bama owns in 2018.
The factor of being a rivalry game matters, but not a lot when then one in front of you is one of the best teams in the last decade. Alabama is about to hammer Auburn in an ugly fashion. It will help the Tide to stay tune-up for the SEC Championship game against Georgia. The backdoor cover has been an issue when betting Bama this season, but the Tigers don’t have the type of offense to stay in the game late. Alabama wants some payback from what happened last season, and they have just the perfect team to destroy Auburn. The play? Alabama -25.5.
