Two of the best scrambling quarterbacks in the NFL are set to meet in one of the most electrifying games of Week 7.

When the line opened, the Seahawks were -4, but the number quickly moved down half of a point. It’s been at -3.5 for a while.

There is no reason to think it will swing one way or the other from now and until the kickoff. The total opened at 50.5, and it was as high as 51. Right now, it’s as its lowest at 49.5.

The Baltimore Ravens’ Edge vs. The Seahawks

During the offseason, HC John Harbaugh mentioned his team was putting together an offensive plan just for QB Lamar Jackson’s abilities.

The plan was to run the football as much as possible and let Jackson throw when he needs to. In a passing league, the Ravens’ offense looks both different and very creative.

Baltimore leads the league with 205.0 rushing yards per game. It’s not only the fact the Ravens lead the NFL in the rushing department, but the 200+ yards per game is a number usually found in College Football and not in the NFL.

The Seahawks Defense

That by itself should tell us how unique this offense is. The Seahawks have the 20th ranked total defense, giving up 359.8 total yards per game this season.

They are better stopping the run than the pass. However, the defensive unit hasn’t faced a team so determined to run the football like the Ravens.

How unique is this offense? RB Chris Carson leads Seattle with 540 rushing yards. The Ravens have two players in QB Lamar Jackson (460) and RB Mark Ingram (424) with more than 400 rushing yards each.

To quote Seahawks HC Pete Carroll: “Their offense is a nightmare.”

The Seattle Seahawks’ Edge vs. The Ravens?

The Seahawks have the MVP favorite leading the team, and he’s good enough to step in the right time to deliver dimes all over the place.

QB Russell Wilson is now the favorite to win the MVP award at +200 ahead of Chiefs’ QB Pat Mahomes (+250). We know Wilson can scramble and create plays with his feet just as well as Lamar Jackson.

He might not be as fast, but he’s elusive and brilliant out of the pocket. The clear edge Russ has over Lamar and the rest of the Ravens is the fact that he can throw the ball perfectly in very tight spots.

Russell Wilson is playing at a level that we haven’t seen him play before. He also leads an offense that is well balanced, and that’s a great thing when playing a good team like Baltimore.

Seattle has the 8th best passing and 9th best rushing offense in the NFL. Another underrated factor about this offense is the Seahawks don’t turn the ball over often.

Wilson hasn’t thrown one interception this season and is responsible for 17 touchdowns, including 14 passing. The key player on defense is LB Bobby Wagner.

The linebacker is one of the best in the NFL, leading the unit right from the middle, and he will be the guy in charge of stopping Lamar Jackson’s scrambles. Wagner is so good he got a 99 rating in Madden. That’s not easy to achieve.

Ravens Vs. Seahawks NFL Week 7 Betting Prediction

This game promises to be one of the most exciting of the week. Two explosive quarterbacks going head to head against each other is must-see TV.

In the mind of many Seattle is a Super Bowl contender, but I’m not quite there yet. Home field advantage hasn’t been as valuable for the Seahawks this season as it was in the past.

Think about it, the Bengals almost won in there in week one, losing just by one point. The Saints actually stole one in Seattle despite playing with their backup QB.

And the Rams, a team with a lot of problems, lost by one point after their kicker missed a last-second field goal. Seattle is 2-1 at home with both wins coming just by one point each.

Also, the oddsmakers are giving us a very valuable half of a point on the road team. It’s the perfect number to back up the underdog. Bet Ravens +3.5.
