Cincinnati won the East Division in The American and did so in convincing fashion. The Bearcats averaged 31.3 points per game this season while holding opponents to just 21.7 points per game.
Key Players
A pair of safeties lead the way for the Bearcats on defense. Darrick Forest paces the team with 104 tackles, while Ja’Von Hicks has racked up five interceptions.
Quarterback Desmond Ridder has had a terrific season for the Bearcats, throwing for over 2,000 yards and also making plays with his legs. Running back Michael Warren II has run for 1,160 yards already this season, and he should have a big game in this one.

The Bearcats definitely have the more talented roster, and that is going to show up on the field in the Birmingham Bowl. Cincinnati has a high-powered offense, but its defense is going to be a major factor in this game.
Boston College can really run the football, but its lack of balance on offense is going to hurt them against Cincinnati. This game should be close throughout, but the Bearcats are winning this one by double digits.
