Buffalo Bills at Dallas Cowboys 2019 Thanksgiving NFL Game Betting Odds and Pick

2019 Thanksgiving Game: Buffalo Bills (8-3) At Dallas Cowboys (6-5) Betting Preview

Right in the middle of dinner, the Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys will be on the field battling in the best game of the 2019 Thanksgiving slate.

Both teams have a winning record, but both are among the team squads with more questions than answers. The Cowboys, in particular, are in a must-win situation.

Let’s see what Buffalo and Dallas will bring to this game.

The Cowboys opened -7.5 in most markets, but the betting line went down half a point, and now Dallas is a touchdown favorite at home against Buffalo.

60% of the betting public is taking the Bills with the points in this game.

The Buffalo Bills’ Edge Vs. The Cowboys

With an 8-3, the Buffalo Bills are looking like a playoffs team. While the Titans, Colts, Raiders, and Steelers are 6-5 battling for the second wildcard spot, Buffalo is comfortable with their recent form.

The Bills have won five of the last seven, including a 20-3 victory over the Broncos on Sunday. The team knows they do a couple of things well, and they maximize that.

Strong Defense And Run Offense

Buffalo’s defense is the third-best in the NFL in total yards and points allowed. They are never mentioned in the same sentence as the 49ers and Patriots, but they might deserve a lot more respect.

Their offense is not a passing offense. Instead, they run the ball well and control the mistakes. Buffalo is the fifth-best offense running the football in the NFL, averaging 139.2 rushing yards per game.

Between RB Frank Gore, rookie Devin Singletary and QB Josh Allen, they have recorded 1418 of teams’ 1537 rushing yards this season.

The Dallas Cowboys’ Edge Vs. The Bills

The Dallas Cowboys gave New England all they can handle on Sunday and eventually ended up covering the spread. Yet, they ended on the wrong side of the result and dropped to 0-4 against teams with a winning record this season.

You know it, and I know it. The Cowboys got outcoached on Sunday. They have more talent than New England, but that’s never enough when you face the Patriots.

Cowboys Need To Regroup

Dallas goes back to the training room on a short week and with a lot of doubts about their offensive game. Dak Prescott passed for 212 yards, with one interception against the Patriots, and once again ended short of winning a big game.

There was a lot of rain, so that’s a factor. But Dallas can’t find a way to win close games. It just doesn’t happen for them.

The good news is, the record for the Bills might be a little inflated after all. Buffalo might be the right team to get the Cowboys over the hump. If they win on Sunday, the whole narrative that they can beat good teams will end, even if the Bills are not a Super Bowl contender team.

Buffalo Bills Vs. Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Prediction

The Cowboys will enter the Thanksgiving with three wins in the last eight games. Their victories were against the Eagles, Giants, and Lions. That’s not impressive.

Instead, they have losses against the Saints, Packers, Jets, Vikings, and Patriots. Four of those five teams are Super Bowl contenders, but then there is also the loss against the Jets.

Dallas has talent but is not a team that is going to impose their will, especially against teams that are playing well. As much as I think Buffalo is overrated, the Bills are performing well and should not this much of an underdog.

The Bills have a better defense, and a quarterback is very elusive and move the chains. The spread is too big to trust the Cowboys. Bet Bills +7.
