Charlotte Hornets Vs. Orlando Magic – NBA Picks & Predictions | Betting Odds

Hornets vs Magic betting picks

With the NBA All-Star break right around the corner, there are not many games available for us on Thursday Night. Either way, let’s see if the meeting between the Charlotte Hornets and the Orlando Magic presents some kind of value to our NBA betting efforts. Despite being two games under .500, the Hornets would be in the playoffs as the seventh seed in the East if the season ends today. One of the teams that can catch them is the Orlando Magic, which is outside looking in from the 10th seed.

Charlotte Hornets Vs. Orlando Magic Predictions

Charlotte has lost three of their last four games, which is not a surprise. These teams are trying to get to the postseason, but they lack consistency, and that’s their main issue. Those three losses were against the Clippers, Mavericks, and Pacers. All three of those franchises are either in playoffs positions or aiming to get there. The Hornets have covered the spread just two of their last eight games. Despite that’s far from a useful form, facing Orlando could be an ideal situation to smack a direct rival.

The Magic is trying to catch either Charlotte or the Detroit Pistons, the two franchises with the last two spots in the Eastern Conference playoffs.  The Magic is on a solid run with four wins in a row and six victories in the last seven games. A few of their victims have been the Pacers and Bucks. Their only loss in that span was against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The best part of Orlando’s form is they have covered the spread in six of their last seven games. Four times they were favorites while covering against Indiana, Brooklyn, Minnesota, and Atlanta.

Then they went up and covered as dogs winning straight up against Milwaukee and New Orleans. I feel like the Magic doesn’t have a player that can take over the game as the Hornets do in Kemba Walker. But Walker might have his head in the All-Star game on Sunday where he will be a starter as part of team Giannis.

What’s the play? Magic.
