Cowboys Vs. Eagles - Sunday Night Football Betting Odds | Predictions

Two teams in a must-win situation will clash on Primetime when the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles met in an NFC battle on Sunday Night. The Cowboys will be playing their third division game after beating the Giants and losing to the Redskins. The Eagles have only beaten the Giants. The game will be Lincoln Financial Field, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The oddsmakers at Mybookie.ag have Philadelphia as a 7.5-point favorite at home. The line opened with Philly as a 6-point favorite but there has been a lot of money coming into Philadelphia’s side. 67% of the betting public is taking the Eagles to cover the spread on SNF. The game total is at 43 points. The total hasn’t moved all week. Our odds below are from Mybookie.ag Sportsbook. Deposit today for a 50% Welcome Bonus up to $1000.

What’s the latest Cowboys betting form to face the Eagles?

It’s hard to name the most troubling thing about the Cowboys entering this game. It has to be either their poor performance on Monday Night losing 28-14 to the Tennessee Titans or the fact that they are 0-4 on the road this season. Either way, Dallas has been extremely disappointing in 2018. They are coming off a short week after dropping a home game in Primetime against the Titans. The Cowboys were a 4.5-point favorite on Monday Night football. They now have two straight games failing to cover the spread.

The worst thing about Dallas is they were coming off a bye week when they play Tennessee. That didn’t stop them from looking unprepared and once again incompetent on offense. The Cowboys recorded only 297 total yards of attack even as they were debuting WR Amari Cooper. The ex-Raiders wide receiver had a touchdown catch, but other than that, his impact was limited. The Cowboys offensive system is confusing at times. They have one of the best running backs in the game in Ezekiel Elliott, and they refuse to give him the ball. Zeke had only 17 carries for 62 yards against the Titans. In three of his last four games, he hasn’t reached the 100-rushing yards.

Betting on Dallas is to suffer from anxiety and self-blame right at the middle of the game. We know what they are, and we know their coach, Jason Garrett, is not the most aggressive of the minds. The Cowboys have the fourth worst passing offense in the NFL and the 26th ranked scoring unit, averaging just 19.3 points per game. On the road, they are averaging 13.5 points per game in four outings. That’s a lousy team in my book. New to betting on NFL? Check out our Dallas Cowboys Betting Guide.

What’s the latest Eagles betting form to face the Cowboys?

The Cowboys are on a short week. The Eagles are not. Philadelphia had two weeks to prepare for this game as they are coming off a bye week. They probably saw the game on Monday Night Football while laughing at division rival weak performance. Philadelphia had won two of their last three games and should have been three in a row if they didn’t let a 17-0 lead slip against the Carolina Panthers in week 7. The Eagles are sitting at 4-4; one game behind the Washington Redskins at the top of the NFC East division. For all the troubles they had in the first two months of the season, the divisional title is up for grabs. If the Eagles catch fire just at the right time, they will win the East.

Philly covered the spread in the two wins they recorded over the last three games. Their last outing was a 24-18 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars as a 4.5-point favorite. The Eagles, however, have covered the spread just once in the four games they have played at the Lincoln Financial Field this season.
QB Carson Wentz is the key to this matchup. He looks better with every week that passes by and the knee injury suffered last season seems like less of an issue every Sunday. Since returning to the starting lineup, Wentz has thrown 13 touchdowns and just two interceptions.

In the game against the Jags he fired up three touchdown passes for the second time in the season, while posting a 119.6 passer rating. Wentz will have a new weapon in wideout Golden Tate. When the Eagles acquired Tate on a trade, they were looking for somebody to help the offense finds a spark for big plays. The ex-Lion wide receiver is one of the best players gaining yards after the catch. With two weeks to prepare in his new offense, Tate’s impact might be limited, but whenever he catches the ball, he will rack up plenty of yards for his new team. New to betting on NFL? The play for the SNF game between Cowboys and Eagles?

I see the Eagles trending up and the Cowboys as a mess, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Even if divisional games are usually close, Dallas is in bad shape and in a horrible spot. The Cowboys’ play-calls make no sense. They have a short week to prepare while the Eagles had a full two weeks. Dallas has the best defense, but they will miss LB Sean Lee who will be out for at least four weeks with a hamstring injury. The betting line is a little inflated for my taste; I will grant you that. Divisional games aren’t supposed to have such a big spread.

Dallas’ offense is so disappointing; I think the oddsmakers are giving bettors enough room to allure them to jump on the Cowboys’ side. If I want to reach a certain comfort level, I would buy one point and bet the Eagles -6.5 at Mybookie.ag. The 7.5-point spread forces Eagles to win by two scores. Two of the last three meetings between these teams saw Philly come up as winners. Both times the Eagles won by double-digits. Bet Philadelphia -7.5.
