Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints NFL Week 4 Betting Picks And Odds
The last time the Cowboys and Saints met, Dallas punched New Orleans in the mouth so hard, the Saints were never the same. Without Drew Brees in the lineup, New Orleans will look to end Dallas unbeaten run on Sunday Night Football.
Cowboys vs. Saints Odds – NFL Season Week 4
The betting line for this NFC featured matchup hasn’t moved much. It opened with Dallas -3 on the road and -2.5 it’s the lowest it has been. It’s back up to a field goal difference, but what is going to vary is the price to get any of the two sides.
|-3 (-105)||Spread||+3 (-155)|
|Over 47 (-110)||Total||Under 47 (-110)|

I’m sure if Drew Brees would have been available the line would be Saints -3 or -3.5, but that’s the price of not having one of the best QBs in NFL history available.
The significant movement has been in the game total. It’s now at 47, but it opened at 45 early in the week.
Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints Betting Preview
Dallas enters week 4 with a 3-0 record after paying against weak competition in the first three weeks. To be fair, the Cowboys can only face whatever the schedule throws at them but overreacting to the record would be a mistake.
The key for the Cowboys in this matchup is their defense. Dallas is allowed 14.7 points per game in the first three games of the season; it is the third-best number in the league.
Beating the Giants, Redskins, and Dolphins it is far from impressive, but the unit has done the job. Dallas has allowed fewer than 100-rushing yards in the last two outings. They held Adrian Peterson to just 25 rushing yard and Kenyan Drake to 38.
What’s The New Orleans Saints’ Edge vs. The Cowboys?
The Saints had a 13-game winning streak when they lost to Dallas last season. New Orleans was never the same after that game, particularly their offense.
A lot has changed since then. QB Drew Brees sustained a thumb injury in week two, and it’s now Teddy Bridgewater’s show. Teddy is not a scrub; he can play in this league, and that is the reason New Orleans went out of its way to try to keep him during the offseason.
Last week Bridgewater posted 177 passing yards and two scores in the road win against Seattle. Beyond the two touchdowns thrown, the best part is he doesn’t turn the ball over. It’s what the Saints need from a backup QB.
The Saints Offense
The Saints offense will never be as dominant with Teddy as it was with Drew Brees, but it doesn’t have to be. Alvin Kamara is the key guy on this offense. Even with teams planning against him, HC Sean Payton finds a way to get him open.
Kamara already has 390 all-purpose yards in three weeks along with two touchdowns. He was the Saints’ biggest weapon in Seattle recording 161 total tards and two scores.
Cowboys vs. Saints NFL Week 4 Betting Prediction
I don’t expect the betting to move beyond three points, but if it does move up, the value is on the home team by half a point. Currently, the Cowboys are -3, and with a -105 price, we need to take Dallas despite playing on the road.
With Drew Brees under center, the story would have been different, but the Saints offense is on the shoulders of one guy, and that’s Alvin Kamara. I’m sure Dallas will be waiting for him. I like Teddy, but I don’t think he can win this game by himself.
Dallas doesn’t fear the Saints or the Super Dome. Just last year they took the lunch money from a team that was rolling at the time.
Keep in mind Seattle won the total yards battle 514-265 against New Orleans last week but made dumb mistakes that cost them the game. This Saints team look inferior to last year’s version, despite the impressive win in Seattle. Bet Cowboys -3.
