Dallas Cowboys Vs. NY Giants NFL Week 9 Betting Picks And Odds
Coming off a bye week, the Dallas Cowboys look to add another divisional win when they visit the NY Giants on Monday Night Football.
The Cowboys and Giants met in the NFL Week 1 in a game that ended with a 35-17 victory by Dallas. However, it was Eli Manning the one leading the Giants then, and now they will have to deal with Daniel Jones.
Dallas is a touchdown favorite on the road against a divisional opponent, which seems a little excessive. Let’s break it down.
What The NFL Odds Say About The Cowboys At NY Giants Matchup

The Cowboys opened -9 for this Monday Night matchup, but the odds started to go down slowly.
Now Dallas is -7 in most markets, varying only the asking price to get either side. 54% of the betting public is riding with the Boys.
The Dallas Cowboys’ Edge Vs. The Giants
The last time Dallas was on the field, they recorded what could be considered their best win of the season, taking care of the Philadelphia Eagles 37-10.
However, the last time they played at Metlife Stadium, the team suffered one of their worst losses by going down 24-22 against the NY Jets.
Good News For The Cowboys
The good news for the Dallas Cowboys is they seem to do a lot better against the Giants. Dallas has won five in a row in the rivalry against the G-Men. Including the already mentioned victory in Week 1.
Dallas had two weeks to prepare for this game. Not that they needed it to beat the Giants, but having extra time to prepare sure helps the Cowboys in this one.
Also, they will get back WR Amari Cooper, who has been dealing with an ankle and quadriceps injury. The team also traded for DE Michael Bennett, and he should make his debut on Monday.
The NY Giants’ Edge Vs. The Cowboys
It’s hard to find the edge on a team that is on a four-game losing streak. However, the oddsmakers are giving us seven points to spare, and that makes taking the Giants a little more attractive.
Of those four losses against Minnesota, New England, Arizona, and Detroit, the last two were games decided by fewer than a touchdown margin.
Daniel Jones Incredible Performance
Against the Lions, QB Daniel Jones had one of the best games of his young career, yet, it will go unnoticed because the result ended in a loss. Danny Dimes completed 28 of 41 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns against Detroit.
That game, despite the loss, proved to me that Jones would keep coming back even if New York is in bad shape during the contest. The Giants are allowing Daniel to unleash his talent and make mistakes if he needs to as part of the growing pains.
Keep this in mind, because a backdoor cover is very likely with a team that refuses to go down. Jones will probably get back WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) this week.
The Giants hasn’t cleared him out of the concussion protocol, but he’s trending that way.
Dallas Cowboys Vs. NY Giants NFL Week 9 Prediction
I must be honest. I hate laying points in a divisional matchup, but Dallas’ defense should be able to dominate and slow down Daniel Jones on Monday Night.
The Cowboys are fresh off a bye week, ready to put together a dominating performance over an inferior team. Their defense will be grateful for the arrival of Michael Bennett, who is a very aggressive pass rusher.
The Giants have a limited offense, which hasn’t used RB Saquon Barkley as they should. Barkley has averaged 68.0 rushing yards since he returned from his ankle injury two weeks ago.
I’m taking Dallas to win this game by double-digits. Bet Cowboys -7.
