2019 Dubai World Cup Betting Preview, Odds And Picks – Horse Racing
The Dubai World Cup is one of the most significant events in horse racing and has plenty of interest from around the world from horse bettors and fans, alike. There will be many American horses in the race with a prize pool of nearly $35 million, it’s one of the world’s richest race days and best opportunities to bet.
There will be a total of 9 races staged on Saturday at Meydan. The races will begin in the early morning for viewers in the United States. The first of the races starts at 7:45 AM, ET on Saturday, March 30. The final race, the Dubai World Cup, will start in the afternoon for Americans at 12:40 PM EST.
Defending Champion – Thunder Snow
Thunder Snow won last year’s race, but he will face a tough test against some American challengers in Audible, Seeking the Soul, Pavel, and Yoshida. Thunder Snow is a narrow favorite over the field at +300.

Analysis and Picks To Win Dubai Cup
Thunder Snow is not a bad bet in this race as the Godolphin horse looks to become the first two-time winner of the prestigious race. The horse holds the world record in track speed on the Meydan dirt. He sits at +300 atop the board as the odds-on favorite, but not by much. North America is right behind the defending champion at +330. The horse is the favorite at some racebooks, slightly ahead of Thunder Snow. The horse won big at the Al Maktoum Challenge Round 2 and has now become the odds-on favorite at some shops.
Another well talked-about horse is Capezzano, who offers a better price than Thunder Snow and North America at +500 – he may be just as big of a threat to win, as well. The horse has performed exceptionally well at Meydan. He won his last three races on the track by a combined 26 lengths. Those numbers are going to be tough to beat. Out of the top three horses in what I think will be more of a wide-open race – I think that he offers the most value at +500, as he is a genuine threat to win the race.
Audible at +1200 is interesting because the horse still seems to have room for improvement. The horse had a runner-up finish Harlan’s Holiday Stakes (G3) in December and a fifth-place finish in December in the Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1). Quick conditions should help this horse in the race.
Another horse seems to have a lot of confidence going into the race is Pavel. His trainer, Doug O’Neil, stated that the “…horse is in a consistent place right now and he’s very fit and ready. He’s acting like he is going to win the best race of his life and he would need to in order to win the Dubai World Cup.” Of course, it highly unlikely that Pavel wins the race, but at +3300 or 33/1 – I think he is worth a shot, along with Audible at +1200.
