Florida Vs. Michigan Predictions – Peach Bowl Betting Odds
It’s been four years of the Jim Harbaugh experience, and the Wolverines haven’t sniffed the College Football playoffs. Michigan will try to close out what could be labeled as a good season, but not great when they take on the Florida Gators at the Peach Bowl. At MyBookie.ag Michigan is a 6-point favorite. The betting line was as high as 7.5-points, but it settled back down to six. Right now 55% of the betting public has taken the Gators to cover the spread. The game total is at 51 points.
Florida Gators vs. Michigan Wolverines Peach Bowl Predictions
I get that Florida ended the season with three wins in a row, but beating South Carolina, Idaho and the worst Florida State team of this century is far from great. It’s coach Dan Mullen first year as a Gator, which means a 9-3 season is promising, but facing Michigan is a big challenge. Michigan will miss three key players in running back Karan Higdon, middle linebacker Devin Bush, and defensive end Rashan Gary. All three will be sitting out to prepare for the NFL draft. With that said, Jim Harbaugh has recruited well enough to replace them for one game.
The last time the Wolverines were on a football field they were embarrassed by Ohio State 62-39. I can’t see this team underperforming on back-to-back games. They just need to show they are far better than what they looked in Columbus in the last week of November. Before allowing 69 points to the Buckeyes, Michigan’s defense was respected as one of the best in the nation. They earned that respect early in the season; they lost it against Ohio State, and now they have to earn it back against Florida. This bowl game has a lot of meaning for Michigan, especially for coach Jim Harbaugh and his tainted image. I think Florida is a good team that will do some damage, but this game means a whole lot more for the Wolverines. I’m swallowing the points. What’s the play? Michigan -6.
