Formula One Betting: Bahrain Grand Prix Prediction
The whole world is still talking about the surprising win by Vettel in Australia. Was this due to pure luck, a great strategy, virtual safety car or Lewis having a bad day? It is really hard to draw much from it especially when Australia GP was the first race of the season. This weekend, the show moves to Bahrain for the Grand Prix which is the first of two formula one races that will happen in the Middle East. We will be using Bovada Sportsbook to place our F1 bets this weekend.
Lewis Hamilton Wins Grand Prix Of Bahrain?
Maybe. He hasn’t won there since 2015 perhaps then he is due for a win? Sebastian Vettel and his Ferrari team were the winners of 2017 Bahrain GP, however, repeating it this year will be a tough job. Once again, Mercedes is the best car so far even thou it didn’t win in Melbourne. Vettel, during the press conference, has mentioned that they are behind as much as 0.4 seconds which in formula one world is an eternity.
Bahrain International Circuit features a mix of long straights and slow corners. The stop and go nature of this track makes traction important. Bahrain presents a lot of opportunities for overtaking. The track isn’t used often. Combine this with the venue’s desert location and you’ve got a recipe for low grip. So if you take all of this into consideration the Silver Arrows should have an advantage over Ferrari. If Hamilton gets a pole position it will be hard to dethrone him.

Bottas, Raikkonen and the rest…
A lot of wishful thinking by the rest of the teams. Looking at the results from Australia GP it seems that besides Alonso and his Mclaren Renault not too many teams have made great strides in the area of closing the gap between themselves and Mercedes – Ferrari duo. It is still early in the season as new parts are being added and things being tweaked but if 2017 season is a point of reference then it won’t be easy.
In today’s Practice 1, Ricciardo and Red Bull Racing car have put up some speedy times on the time board. Red Bull didn’t have a car in the top three in either qualifying or the race in Australia. Thou, Daniel Ricciardo thinks that he’s seen enough in the first practice to think the team can challenge Mercedes and Ferrari in Bahrain on Sunday. Again, a lot of wishful thinking…
Formula One Pick: Lewis Hamilton -125
Inshallah, Lewis will win the 2018 Bahrain GP. We don’t see anything that would suggest otherwise. Mercedes is the fastest, the circuit really suits the car, his loss to Vettel in Australia GP must have hurt his ego so he will want to prove himself in the desert. The only thing stopping him would be his team’s mistake in the pits.
If you want to be a contrarian, placing a bet on Ricciardo +1000 would be our suggestion…
