Free 2018 NBA Finals Expert Picks: Cavaliers vs Warriors Prediction Game 3
The NBA Finals have been in favor of the Warriors so far, but the Cavaliers will look to bounce back on Wednesday night. Golden State took care of business at home and will look to push Cleveland to the brink of elimination with a win on June 6. The game will be on ABC at 9:00 PM ET. My NBA pick for June 6th is below and the odds can be found at Sportsbetting – Don’t Miss 50% Up To $1000 Bonus.
Golden State Warriors Vs Cleveland Cavaliers Predictions
Golden State finished the regular season at 58-24, which locked them up the second overall seed in the Western Conference. The Warriors were then tasked with taking down the San Antonio Spurs, New Orleans Pelicans and the Houston Rockets to reach the NBA Finals. The Warriors successfully passed all three teams to reach the finals, where the met up against Cleveland for the fourth straight season.
Cleveland ended the regular season with a 50-32 record. The Cavaliers had the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland played the Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics in the playoffs. The Cavaliers went to the full seven games against Indiana and Boston, which was rough on the team. Golden State only went seven games with Houston.
Game 1 of the NBA Finals was back on May 31 in Oakland. Lebron James played one of the greatest games of his legendary career. James dropped 51 points to force the game into overtime, but it was not enough. Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson combined for 79 points to earn the 124-114 victory in overtime. Game 2 was also held in Oracle Arena in Oakland. The Warriors pulled off a much more dominant win. Golden State won 122-103. Lebron James scored 29 points, had 13 assists and 9 rebounds in the losing effort. Stephen Curry dropped 33 points on 9 of 17 three point shooting. Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant had 20 and 26 points respectively to help give the Warriors the win.
Golden State Warriors (-110) Vs Cleveland Cavaliers (-110)
Andre Iguodala has been out of action since May 25 and it seems that he is nearing a return. Iguodala is listed as questionable for Game 3, but if he comes back it would be a huge addition to the Warriors lineup. The Cavaliers have no listed injuries, nor have they had any key players miss any games during the Finals. Golden State is favored by 4 ½ points, which is not a surprise due to how big of favorites they are in the series. The Warriors have a money line of -177 for Game 3, which implies they win this game 64 percent of the time.
The Warriors are moving back to Cleveland. When a team is down 0-2 and the series is shifting back to their home court, they tend to win Game 3. The Cavaliers are in this situation and I believe it could apply to them. Cleveland is the best team from the Eastern Conference and I believe they will prove why in Game 3. Lebron James needs some help from some players on the team, but I expect the Cavaliers to perform well for the home fan base. I am picking Cleveland with the points.
