Free NFL Week 12 Expert Picks: Browns vs Bengals Prediction
We had a rough Thanksgiving, going 0-3 with the picks, but hopefully, the turkey and stuffing (and alcohol) helped offset the day’s losses. Nevertheless, there’s plenty of more football this week. We’re back with two more plays for the afternoon games on Sunday and a later post for the Sunday Night football game between the Packers and Steelers.

Cleveland Browns +8 (-108) at Cincinnati Bengals -8 (-112) Total: 38
The Browns travel to Cincinnati for an AFC North battle in the bitter cold. The total of 38 points is the lowest of the Week 12 slate, so this one may not be the game to tune in for offense. However, I do think there’s a betting opportunity.
The Browns are still without a win in Week 12. It’s been a tough year (more like a decade) in Cleveland, and they’re once again underdogs against their in-state rivals. The Bengals took it the Browns on October 1, in a meeting at Cleveland, winning 31-7. Cleveland’s defense did an excellent limiting Jacksonville’s offense last week, but they still managed to lose the game 19-7.
The Bengals are likely out of the playoff hunt at 4-6, but they do have some small hope if they win out. Cincy narrowly defeated a Denver squad that has been tanking 20-17 at Mile High last week. The Bengals offense continues to below-average. They have very little run game, and poor blocking for the run and pass has resulted in many an inefficient offense.
Betting Odds On The Bengals
The Bengals opened at -8 at most sportsbooks, and that number hasn’t moved at most spots. They have gotten close to 60 percent of bets so far, but the number hasn’t moved. The total opened at 38 points and hasn’t seen much movement at most sportsbooks.
Cleveland Browns vs Cincinnati Bengals Prediction
I’m a big fan of the Browns in this spot getting more than a touchdown due to the futility of the Bengals offense. Cleveland, unfairly, gets the wrap as having a bad defense, when that couldn’t be further from the truth. The unit has been solid this year, especially against the run. The Bengals offense is dreadful, and it’s impossible to justify them in this spot as moderate favorites. Bite the bullet and take the worst team in football on the road getting more than a touchdown.
