Free NHL Picks For Tonight Sharks vs Panthers Prediction

Friday offers a variety of eight games. The hockey will be the beginning of another exciting month of hockey. To start off the weekend their will be many exciting games, like the showdown between the Blues and the Kings. Other games could be just as exciting. Here are my best bets for December 1. Odds can be found at BetOnline.

San Jose Sharks (+100) at Florida Panthers (-110)

The Sharks and Panthers meet for the second time this season on Friday night. San Jose enters the night winning their last two games. The Sharks have won four of their last five on the road. On the season, San Jose has gone 13-8-2. Florida has won two straight games as well, and three of their last four. The Panthers are 10-12-2 on the new season.

Free NHL Picks For Tonight Sharks vs Panthers PredictionThe Sharks and Panthers met in San Jose on November 16 for their first meeting. The Panthers took the game by a final score of 2-0. Roberto Luongo stopped all thirty-five shots in route to the win. Colton Sceviour and Nick Bjugstad had the goals for the Panthers. Martin Jones put up a good performance for the Sharks, but San Jose’s offense failed to give him any help.

San Jose has had the best defense in all the NHL. The Sharks have only allowed fifty goals in twenty-three games. The Los Angeles Kings are second with fifty-seven goals in twenty-five games. The Sharks problem has been their offense. They have scored only sixty goals. The Buffalo Sabres are the only team to score fewer goals, scoring only fifty-five in twenty-five games.

Florida has scored seventy goals in twenty-four games. That puts the Panthers near middle of the pack with goals scored. The Panthers problem is that they have allowed the fourth most goals. Florida has allowed eighty-two goals on the season.

The Panthers will have serious difficulty scoring on the power play. Florida’s power play has scored on 15.85 percent of their man advantages. They have not been successful, but they will have serious difficulty against the Sharks who have the number two penalty kill. San Jose has killed off 88.31 percent of penalties against them.

Martin Jones and Roberto Luongo are both expected to face off in their second match of the season. Jones has been great on the season. He has a save percentage of .930 and a GAA of 2.05. Jones has gotten a lot of help from his defense. Luongo has been almost equally as great. He has a .927 save percentage and a 2.66 GAA. Last game, both goalies were great for their respective teams and I believe it will be no different this time around.

Jonathan Huberdeau leads the Panthers in points with twenty-five. Vincent Trocheck and Aleksander Barkov are tied for second with twenty-three points. Evgeni Dadonov who is fourth on the team in points will miss Friday’s game with a shoulder injury. Last game the Panthers played San Jose, the top three players were held with only one point in total.

San Jose Sharks vs Florida Panthers Prediction

San Jose has been led by Logan Couture with twenty-one points. He is the only player on the Sharks who has more than twenty points. Joe Thornton and Tomas Hertl sit second and third on the team in points. Thornton has fifteen points and Hertl has fourteen points. The Sharks will need their top players to find the net for the Sharks to get the win.

The Panthers and Sharks have been pretty good recently. San Jose has had the better season so far, and as underdogs I believe the Sharks are the best bet. Florida is listed at -110, which implies they will win this game fifty-two percent of the time. I believe the Panthers should be underdogs against the best defensive team in all the NHL.
