4 Georgia Vs. 12 Auburn College Football Betting Preview

It took many by surprise, but Georgia is now the number 4 team in the nation.

The Bulldogs will have a tough time defending that position when they visit the Auburn Tigers this weekend.

The Tigers have no business in the top four. Still, they would love to spoil the party for Georgia, even if that means benefitting their worst enemy, the University of Alabama.

Let’s break it down.

What The NCAAF Odds Say About The Georgia At Auburn Matchup

The Georgia Bulldogs opened -2.5 for this game on the road, but the market moved half a point up. Now the road team is a field goal favorite at

The public is undecided about this one. 53% is going with Georgia to cover the spread.

The Georgia Bulldogs’ Edge Vs. Auburn

The Bulldogs have won their last three games in a row since the shocking upset they suffered against South Carolina at home.

Georgia’s offense hasn’t been great this season but has done enough to help what looks like one of the best defenses in the nation.

A Strong Defense Has Been Key For Georgia

Over the last three games, the Bulldogs defense has allowed just 17 points and has shut down both Kentucky and Missouri.

Overall, the defense has allowed only 10.1 points per game this season. That is the second-best number in all College Football, only behind Ohio State.

On offense, they have one thing going their way. They average 215.6 rushing yards per game, mostly led by tailback D’Andre Swift, who has 921 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in 2019.

The Auburn Tigers’ Edge Vs. Georgia

The Tigers have alternated wins and losses over the last four games.

If there is any consolation, their two losses were against top team teams, including a defeat to LSU, who is now the best team in the country.

Their last game ended with a 20-14 win over Ole Miss. It was far from impressive, but at this point, they will take every win available to get a berth in a sweet bowl late in the season.

Auburn doesn’t do anything particularly impressive, but their defense is the unit that can help them stay in this game.

A Decent Defense And Being The Home Team Could Help

It also helps to be the home team in this one. Both losses to Florida and LSU were on the road.

The Tigers defense gives up 17.4 points per game, which is the 12th best in the nation and third-best inside the SEC.

On the offense side, they need to make sure freshman Bo Nix doesn’t turn the ball over. Nix had four turnovers in the losses to the Gators and LSU Tigers.

Georgia At Auburn NCAAF Week 12 Prediction

The Bulldogs might not be the fourth-best in the nation, but they sure are better than the Tigers in my book.

Their defense needs to impose the will and attack Bo Nix from all angles. Bo has talent, but he’s a little too green to win these big games.

Georgia should force a couple of turnovers and earn a win on the road that will shut all the critics up.

The home team has beaten weaker competition all year. Auburn hasn’t proved they can handle the big boys. Bet Georgia -3.
