Giants Vs. 49ers – Monday Night Football Betting Odds | Predictions
I feel for ESPN. Their Monday Night Football programming has been dreadful all season. The NFL Week 10 scheduled the lousy New York Giants facing the struggling San Francisco 49ers. Back in the 80’s, this would have been a blockbuster matchup. Now both teams have a combined record of 3-14 after nine weeks. The game will be played at Levi’s Stadium, in Santa Clara, California at 8:20 PM ET.
MyBookie.ag has the Niners listed as 3.5-point favorites for this matchup. The betting line opened with the home team as a field goal favorite. The half a point movement is the most the line has changed since it opened. 52% of the betting public is siding with the Giants and the points. The game total is at 44 points after it started at 43.5. Our odds are from Mybookie.ag. Deposit today for a 100% Welcome Bonus up to $1000.

What’s the latest Giants betting form to face the 49ers?
The Giants have dropped five games in a row since their only win of the season against the Houston Texans in week three. To say the season has been disappointing is to underestimate the expectations on this team before the start of the year. New York had two weeks to prepare for this game. They are coming off a bye week ready set to win their second game of the season. So far the team hasn’t given any indication that they are flat-out tanking like the Oakland Raiders. The Giants are fighting to get wins, even if they don’t look close to getting any.
Their latest part of the schedule has been brutal for the Giants. Losses against the Panthers, Eagles, Falcons, and Redskins put them in bad a spot. All those five teams are playoffs worthy. And three of those defeats were by less than a touchdown difference. The Giants have failed to cover the spread in two of their last outings. Their 20-13 loss to the Redskins two weeks ago saw them fail to cover as a 1-point home dog. New York has been a mediocre team all season, but their best form -if it exists- has come on the road. Of their four away games this season, they were money in three of them.
New York’s number problem comes at the offensive line. Despite the money spent at the o-line, the unit is vulnerable and overrated. Their protection is so bad Eli Manning is the most sacked quarterback this season with 31 sacks. Eli hasn’t helped himself either. He has put pedestrian numbers with eight touchdowns and six interceptions over the first half of the season. With an offensive line so limited, the ball must go to running back Saquon Barkley; a lot. Barkley has recorded only two 100-yard games this season under that offensive line. Even with that little help, he has been able to record seven touchdowns so far this year.
What’s the latest 49ers betting form to face the Giants?
The San Francisco 49ers had ten days to prepare for their Monday Night game against the Giants. After clobbering the Oakland Raiders last week with a 34-3 result. The Niners are looking to build a winning momentum for the second half of the season. Their 34-3 win over the Raiders had them covering the spread as 1.5-point home underdogs. The 49ers cut two straight losing weeks with the win against Oakland. They failed to cover against the Los Angeles Rams and the Arizona Cardinals in the two previous weeks.
The second-year undrafted QB Nick Mullens has the 49ers fans excited. Is it too early to anoint him? Of course, it is. That doesn’t mean he didn’t do all he was asked to do last week, and perhaps more. Mullens picked the Raiders defense apart completing 16 of 22 passes for 262 yards and three touchdowns. His NFL regular season debut was beyond anybody’s imagination. Can Mullens keep that pace? The Raiders defense sure gives a lot of spaces to make anybody look good. I’m sure head coach Kyle Shanahan will take the pressure of his young and still inexperienced quarterback by running the football a lot.
The 49ers have the 4th best rushing offense in the NFL, averaging 134.7 yards per game. It has been mostly a team effort. Tailback Matt Breida started the season as a complete stud, but an ankle injury has slowed it down. He has now six games without reaching 100-rushing yards. In fact, in the last three games, he hasn’t even reached 50-yards per game. New to NFL betting? Check out our San Francisco 49ers Betting Guide.
The play for the MNF game between Giants and 49ers?
Putting some trust on any of these teams is tough. Because of their win last week, the Niners give this sensation of the better momentum. But facing and beating the tanking Raiders is no reason to throw all the hype towards San Francisco. I enjoyed what Nick Mullens did last week. It’s a cute story, but the NFL will get you back to earth in a heartbeat. Mullens took advantage of a Raiders defense which can’t put any pressure. He had all day to throw, and that’s why he put the stats that he did. Oakland has recorded the fewest sacks in 2018. I get the Giants are the second worst in that department, but at least they are trying. The Raiders defense just gave up.
New York’s offensive line has been a talking point during these past two weeks. I would be shocked if coach Pat Shurmur didn’t use the extra time to fix his struggling offensive line. If they give Eli Manning some time to throw and especially Saquon Barkley room to work with, the Giants should win this game outright. They have a lot more talent on their side. They just have been playing poorly. I still think the Giants have a few more wins left in their season and it all starts with this game. Take New York with points. Bet Giants +3.5.
