Green Bay Packers Vs. Minnesota Vikings NFL Week 16 Betting Picks And Odds
The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings are set to square off on Monday Night Football, trying to show the nation who is the best team inside the NFC North.
The Packers won the first meeting between the two at home. The 21-16 results reminded us it was a very tight contest.
Can Green Bay sweep Minnesota in 2019? Let’s dive in.

The Vikings opened -4.5 for this game, but the oddsmakers now have Minnesota -5.5. That’s a big spread considering this is a divisional matchup between the two best teams in the NFC North.
54% of the betting public is taking the Packers with the points on the road.
The Green Bay Packers’ Edge Vs. The Vikings
At 11-3, the Green Bay Packers control their destiny. They need to win one more game to win the NFC North division. Green Bay, however, wants to win the last two games to finish with a bye week inside the NFC.
The Packers have won three in a row against weak competition. Beating the Giants, Redskins and Bears were a more difficult job than they expected.
Green Bay hasn’t won easily this season. They don’t have the tools to do so.
Green Bay needs to give the ball to RB Aaron Jones. Whenever they run the ball, the offense plays a little more up-tempo. Last week, QB Aaron Rodgers had 203 yards but completed less than 50% of his passes.
Rodgers is great when he finds WR Davante Adams, but not great when he looks for a second option. The offense has stalled a little bit over the last few weeks.
The Minnesota Vikings’ Edge Vs. The Packers
The Vikings enter this game with four wins in the last five outings. Their victories came against Dallas, Denver, Detroit, and the LA Chargers. Their only defeat during that span was against the Seahawks in a thriller.
QB Kirk Cousins have performed amazingly this season with 3481 yards, 25 touchdowns, and just five interceptions. Cousins still has to answer all the questions about him not being able to win on Monday Night Football. He is 0-8 in MNF in his career, including the aforementioned loss to Seattle.
Minnesota is likely to be without RB Dalvin Cook for this game. Cook is dealing with a shoulder injury that might keep him out of the meeting against Green Bay.
If he can’t go, then, Mike Boone will be the leading rusher against the Packers. Boone had 56 yards in 13 carries last week against the Chargers. He took reps with the first-team offense during Thursday’s practice.
Green Bay Packers At Minnesota Vikings NFL Week 16 Prediction
The Vikings are the best team in the NFC North in my eyes. The record might not say it, but they have a better defense and better weapons on the attack.
The one difference between the two teams is in the quarterback position. Aaron Rodgers is a lot better than Kirk Cousins, and that statement doesn’t need any explanation.
Yet, the spread is a little too big for my taste. This game should be a lot closer than a five-point difference. There is too much at stake to think any of the two sides will come out flat on Monday night. Take the points — bet Packers +5.5.
