MLB Betting 6-19-17 – Free Picks

We’ve been on a nice run as of late, winning our last four picks, including Friday night’s win with the over in the Pirates and Cubs game. It’s a smaller slate tonight, but there is still plenty of action to be had. Let’s keep this run going!

As always, all our odds will be quoted from Bovada (Full Review) and are accurate at the time of posting. However, be sure to line shop for the best price before placing your bet.

Cincinnati Reds – S. Feldman +122 at Tampa Bay Rays – Jake Odorizzi -142 Total: 8.5 Runs

The Reds travel to Tampa for an interleague series against the Rays. Cincinnati’s starter, Scott Feldman, has been on fire as of late. He’s won three of his last four outings and has quietly emerged as the Reds’ top starter in a rotation that needs help.

Odorizzi has had an up and down start to the year but has settled in lately. He’s been fantastic at Tropicana Field, with five straight quality starts at home. He has never faced Cincinnati in his career. Odorizzi has a 3.77 ERA so far this season.

Betting Action

The odds opened with the Rays as a -138-home favorite. Most of the action has come on Tampa Bay since the odds opened yesterday. Betting odds at most sportsbooks have shifted to -140 or higher.

Prediction

This is a great matchup for Tampa Bay. Odorizzi’s dominance at home is evident and when the Reds’ best starter is Feldman – you know they’re in trouble in the starting pitching department. The Rays also have a lot of left-handed power bats and have been one of the better teams in the league against right-handed starters.

If you can jump on this one early – go for it. I expect the line to move heavily in Tampa Bay’s favor before the first pitch.

Pick: Rays -142 at Bovada.lv
