MNF Week 8 – Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs

It’s an AFC West Monday Night Football showdown between the Broncos and the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Both Denver and Kansas City have separated themselves from the rest of the division and have yet to meet each other this season. This game is critical for both squads in the fight for the division and playoffs.

Our odds are from SportsBetting.ag (Full Review) and are accurate as of writing. Still, it pays to line shop for the best price on your wagers.

Denver Broncos +7 (-108) at Kansas City Chiefs -7 (-112) Total: 42

NFL Week 8 Pick – Denver Broncos at Kansas City ChiefsIt’s been a rough two weeks for Denver as they have dropped their last two games, including 21-0 defeat at San Diego last week. After starting the season 3-1, the Broncos have lost two in a row and quarterback, Trevor Siemian, is still recovering from arm trouble. They are also missing wide out, Emmanuel Sanders, who may suit up tonight after missing the past two weeks.

Kansas City was the NFL’s only undefeated team after five weeks, but they fell to Pittsburgh in Week 6 and then once again to the Raiders in Week 7. Their defense gave up 31 points in a final second win against Oakland. Still, the Chiefs have a 5-2 record, going into tonight’s game and may be tied with the Patriots for the AFC lead if they get a win tonight.

Betting Action

This one opened with the Chiefs at -7. It moved to -7.5 for a lot of the week but has now settled at -7 at most sportsbooks. The total opened at 44.5 and has been bet down to 42.5.

Broncos vs Chiefs Prediction

I am loving the Broncos in this spot. +7.5 is available at some places with vig up to -120, but that seems to be a price worth grabbing based on Pinnacle’s recent moves. Denver’s defense is still one of the best units in the league and it’s frankly ridiculous that the Chiefs are +7 in this contest with how strong they are on that side of the ball.

It’s been another week and Siemian’s arm has also gotten better. Sanders should be back into the fold, as well. Kansas City’s defense has sprung some leaks recently and while they’re strong at home – they’re certainly a defense that can be exploited.

I like the Broncos in this divisional showdown in a game they might have a chance to win outright.
