Monday Night Football Betting Odds – Steelers Vs. Buccaneers Predictions

Pittsburgh Steelers v Cleveland Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers will enter the NFL Week 3 Monday Night Football matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the only team in the AFC North without a win. It doesn’t help much either that their locker room seems to have imploded in the last couple of weeks. The Steelers will have to battle against an on-fire Ryan Fitzpatrick and against themselves to record their first win of the 2018 season.

Pittsburgh opened as a 2.5-point favorite on the road at, but due to the recent issues, the line has had several movements. It dropped to a pick’em at some point during the week. It’s currently at 1.5-points, and it doesn’t look like is going to move from there. The total opened at 49.5 and now is at 53.5 points. Our odds below are from Sportsbook. What’s the latest Steelers betting form to face the Buccaneers?

It’s safe to say Pittsburgh’s start of the season has been a mess. All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell continues to hold out looking for a better contract. All-Pr17wide receiver Antonio Brown didn’t report for practice on Monday. Later, he implieBear -3that he wanted to be traded. Then, like they needed some more bad news; an encounter between porn-star Stormy Daniels and QB Ben Roethlisberger was revealed to the press. One holdout, a Twitter rant and a porn-star all popped up in one week. I’m sure the late night television writers are coming up with a few good jokes for this week…

Because the Steelers are winless, they have failed to cover the spread as favorite in the first two weeks of the season. Pittsburgh is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite. Last week the team was destroyed by Kansas City’s creative offense, allowing 42-points at home. The Steelers offense still is working although it does miss Le’Veon Bell. They are averaging 29.0 points per game (8th) while recording 377.5 passing yards (2nd). But their defense sucks; plain and simple.

They allowed the second-year quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, to become a fantasy monster. He didn’t sweat to throw six touchdown passes at Heinz Field last week. It was so bad, the Steelers’ defense never even put Kansas City’s offense in a bad spot during the entire game. The Chiefs only had five third-down situations. They were moving the ball around in first and second down all afternoon. There is good news for betting fans looking into betting on Pittsburgh. The Steelers are 23-9-2 ATS in their last 34 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. They are also 11-3 ATS in their previous 14 games after allowing more than 30 points in their last game.

What’s the latest Buccaneers betting form to face the Steelers?

The bad news for the Steelers is they just faced one of the hottest quarterbacks in the NFL, and they will be lined up against another on Monday Night. Ryan Fitzpatrick became the first player to record back-to-back 400-yard, four-touchdown games to start a season. He helped Tampa Bay to beat the Super Bowls Champs, Philadelphia Eagles, on Sunday. The Bucs are not only at the top of the NFC South division, but they are 2-0 against the spread. This will be the third time in a row they are underdogs. They loved the fact that the ‘I still don’t believe in you’ label still hanging around over their heads.

The Buccaneers are also 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as home underdogs and 7-3 ATS in their previous 10 games following a straight up win. They are a solid bet whenever they get points on their side.
Their offense has embraced the gunslinger style of Fitzpatrick, especially wideout DeSean Jackson. He loves all the balls he’s getting. Jackson leads the NFL with 275-receiving yards. And he already has recorded the same amount of touchdown receptions from last season (3).

Tampa Bay will ride the Fitzpatrick wave as much as they can. But if we have learned something from before is this is precisely the ‘Fitzmagic experience’ in a nutshell. He gets in as a backup and lights up teams on fire. He gets a new contract and then immediately goes back to sucking as a quarterback. He gets cut. Then finds another job and the loop repeats itself.

The play for the MNF game between Steelers Vs. Buccaneers?

Everybody is falling in love with the Bucs’ new style of playing. And they should. It’s been fun, but it is an illusion. There is a reason Tampa Bay was a long shot even to win the NFC South. Their coach is on the hot seat, their starting QB is an off the field mess, and their backup quarterback has played for half of the teams in the league. The Steelers have one full week of hearing how they are just the worse. This is when the good teams rise up and put things back in order. Right now the momentum and the betting trends are all in favor of the Bucs.

But the NFL is a league where the fortune chances from one week to the other. This is the week where the Steelers turn around their season. Bet Pittsburgh to win and cover the spread -1.5 on the road. They are the better team, and they have a National audience on Monday Night to prove their critics wrong.
