Cleveland Cavaliers at Golden State Warriors -7 Total: 224

Both teams are coming into the Finals playing some of their best basketball. The Warriors have been perfect throughout the postseason. Cleveland has dropped a single game in the last series against the Celtics, in which they prevailed in five games. The Warriors are favored to win the series.

Injury-wise, the Warriors, and Cavaliers are mostly healthy. Their head coach has the biggest injury issues. Steve Kerr will likely not be on the sidelines for the Finals, with assistant coach, Mike Brown, running things. Center Zaza Pachulia is expected to start tonight after missing most of the last series. The Cavaliers have no significant injuries.

Betting Odds

The Warriors opened as a -7 favorite. Betting action has been mostly even between the two sides. Bovada has the odds at -7 still, but many other sportsbooks have moved the spread to -7.5. The total opened at 225 points. It has moved down slightly to 224.5 at most sites.

Prediction

As dominant as both teams have been throughout the playoffs, the Warriors have faced a much tougher road, regarding competition. The East just isn’t anywhere near the West when it comes to talent.

The Celtics barely put up a fight against Cleveland. The Cavaliers can defend the pick and roll well, but they are not a good defensive team. The Warriors should have their way with them offensively, and I expect them to come out tonight with a decisive victory on their home floor.
