New England Patriots Vs. Philadelphia Eagles NFL Week 11 Betting Picks And Odds

New England Patriots Vs. Philadelphia Eagles NFL Week 11 Free Expert Betting Picks And Odds

The last time the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles met the Lombardi Trophy was at stake.

Their week 12 meeting has a lot less significance, but it still is an important game to win for these two franchises in their attempt to reach the postseason.

Let’s breakdown one of the most interesting games of the weekend as the Patriots visit the Eagles in Philadelphia.

What The NFL Odds Say About The Patriots At Eagles Matchup

Patriots vs. Eagles
-3.5 (-110) Spread +3.5 (-110)
-200 Moneyline  +170
O 44.5 (-110) Total U 44.5 (-110)
Bet On Patriots vs. Eagles NFL Game At

The Patriots opened -3.5, and the betting line was as high as -4, but it came back down to its original number.

64% of the betting public is taking the Pats to cover the spread. The total opened at 45.5 points and now is at 44.5.

The New England Patriots’ Edge Vs. The Eagles

The last time we saw New England on the field, they allowed 37 points from the Baltimore Ravens and lost their first game of the season. That was two weeks ago.

Their offensive line is a mess, and they have had to deal with it on the run. Coming out of a bye week, it’s safe to assume the Patriots worked to fix a few weaknesses they have, especially on offense.

The Patriots Offense

However, as much as the Patriots have been criticized on the offense, they still are second in the league averaging 29.8 points per game. Their passing game is seventh in the NFL despite all the holes in the o-line.

But the one thing I expect to make an impact is their defense. Allowing 37 points to Baltimore wasn’t pretty, but the Ravens’ offense is not a standard unit.

Facing a team like the Eagles would help the Patriots defense have a better chance to dominate again as they did in the first two months of the season.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ Edge Vs. The Patriots

Few coaches can say they have beaten Bill Belichick fair and square. The Eagles’ HC Doug Pederson is one of those. When he took down the Patriots in Super Bowl 52, Pederson outcoached Belichick.

Things are different now, but the Eagles seem to be heating up. They have won two straight against the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears. Philly is back in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Philadelphia Is Coming Off A Bye Week

They will have OT Jason Peters back in practice this week. Peters, who is a crucial part of the puzzle, hasn’t played since week six due to a knee injury.

The Philadelphia Eagles can do a lot of things better in the second half of the season, but the key to their success in their last two games has been running the football.

Philadelphia ran for 218 rushing yards against the Bills and 146 against the Bears. Both times they controlled the clock and kept their defense fresh.

New England Patriots At Philadelphia Eagles Week 11 Prediction

With the betting line down to -3.5 betting the Patriots side looks a lot more attractive now. I don’t expect the number to reach down to a field goal difference, which means this is as good as it going to get if you like New England.

New England should be a lot better than what they showed against Baltimore two weeks ago. Their defense, especially, is more suited to face and stop a QB like Carson Wentz than Lamar Jackson.

I expect the Patriots to go a little more up-tempo on offense as well. Their best moments in the game against Baltimore was precisely when they had the Ravens defense on their heels.

The best bet is to take New England -3.5, especially knowing that number might go up to -4 soon.
