New York Giants vs. New England Patriots – NFL Preseason Week 4 Betting Picks and Odds

Giants vs. Patriots NFL Preseason Week 4 Betting Picks

The men taking the field on Thursday night will have one goal: make the team. When the New York Giants and the New England Patriots clash in the last preseason game of this year, there won’t be any stars playing.

It doesn’t mean it is not going to be fun to bet on it. The Giants are 3-0 in the preseason. The team is not going to win much during the regular season, so they are getting all the wins they can now.

Rookie QB Daniel Jones has been the reasons of the latest preseason wins.

New York Giants vs. New England Patriots Betting Preview

Jones completed 9 of 11 passes for 141 yards against the Bengals last week. His 118.8 passer rating was the best from all the four quarterbacks that had at least one snap against Cincinnati.

Eli Manning is not expected to play against the Patriots. The Giants are ten days away from playing the Dallas Cowboys in the season opener, and they can’t afford Eli going down in a meaningless game.

I can see Jones taking the field for a half before he gives the ball to Kyle Lauletta and Alex Tanney. Both very unreliable and still fighting to see who ends up as the third quarterback for New York.

The Patriots are in a similar spot as the Giants. New England is 3-0 in the preseason; not that it matters much. The competition to be the second quarterback behind Tom Brady has made the team push for late wins over the past three weeks.

What The Patriots Bring To This Game

New England does have a goal during the last game against the Giants. They need to find depth at the center position, and they need to do it fast.

Center David Andrews was diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs this week. Andrews won’t be available for the week one matchup against the Steelers and could end up losing the rest of the season.

Expect to see a lot from rookie QB Jarrett Stidham, this is the last time he gets to see the field this season, and I can see the Patriots giving a lot of playing time. Stidham has been balling in the preseason. He looks very comfortable in Josh McDaniel’s offense.

NY Giants vs. New England Patriots Odds Movement

The game opened with the Patriots as 3.5-point favorites in the spread. 67% of the betting public is taking New England, which ended up dropping the line an entire point.

I expect this game to be a full field goal difference by the time of the kickoff. If you want to bet the Pats, the time is now.

Giants vs. Patriots Betting Prediction

I expect Jarrett Stidham will see the field a lot in this game. The Patriots also have a wide-open battle for the last spots in the wide receiver’s department that should end up helping Stidham and the offense. Bet New England -2.5.
