Jets Vs. Bears – NFL Week 8 Best Bet Against The Spread | Betting Odds
New York Jets Vs. Chicago Bears Predictions
The Jets travel to the Windy City in a battle of two young cornerbacks. New York had won two out of their three games before being beaten badly by the visiting Vikings last week. The 37-17 loss dropped them to 3-4 on the season. Rookie quarterback, Sam Darnold, will face another tough test this week, but the Bears may be without pass-rusher, Khalil Mack. Chicago started the season strong, but have now fallen to 3-3 after losing to the visiting Patriots last week in a shootout. That’s last in what has turned out to be a competitive NFC North. Chicago needs a win this week to stay in contention in the division.
Bettors have been heavy on the Bears since the line opened at -6.5 which has pushed Chicago to -7.5 or higher at some sportsbooks. They seem to believe this is an ideal bounce-back spot for Chi-town. The total has dropped from 46 points to 44.5 at most betting sites since opening. This is a classic spot where the Bears at -6.5 is excellent bet, but once we move a full point to -7.5 (+7.5 for New York), then the Jets become a good bet, as well. New York’s has plenty of injuries, but still, boast an excellent defense that will also be facing a Bears’ team that will be missing several weapons.
The Bears will likely be without their top receiver in Allen Robinson for this one and as I mentioned above, their best overall player, linebacker, Khalil Mack. More than a touchdown seems like a bit too against a team that still has plenty of talent in New York. Take the visiting team and the points with Jets +7.5.
