Cleveland Browns vs. Kansas City Chiefs – NFL Divisional Round Betting Odds & Pick

The Browns pulled the upset against Pittsburgh last weekend in blowout fashion, but they will face a far tougher test this week against the juggernaut, Kansas Chiefs.
Patrick Mahomes and Company are coming off a bye week and are well rested after not playing their starters in Week 17.

Not so shockingly, Kansas City is a large favorite in this contest. They opened at -10 at most sportsbooks and that is where they stand as of now, with a few betting sites at Chiefs -9.5. Betting action has been split so far between these teams.
The total in this game is easily the largest of the week. It opened at 56 points and has risen a bit to 57 points and at some sportsbooks to 57.5.

Cleveland Browns at Kansas City Chiefs Divisional Round ATS Pick
It will obviously be an uphill battle for the Browns to win this game and we could easily see a 40-17 final score in favor of Kansas City but I am going to make the case that the Browns can not only cover, but possibly win this game.
The Browns will not only get their head coach back from a COVID-related hiatus, but they will also get their offensive line back to full strength with left guard, Joel Bitonio, returning after missing the Wild Card round.
Pro Football Focus gave them the best mark in the league when fully healthy.
Their clock chewing run game and efficient passing game gives them an excellent shot to move the ball on the Chiefs’ poor defense while keeping Patrick Mahomes off the field.
This is the recipe needed to beat Kansas City.
What About The Chiefs?
The Chiefs’ offense is as explosive as they come – there is zero doubt about that, but we do see them occasionally disappear for stretches.
Of course, we’ve all seen Mahomes explode the fourth quarter of big games and roar back to give KC a victory. Last year’s Super Bowl comes to mind.
+10 is a ridiculous number for a Browns team that has played extremely well for the past month and has gotten healthier as they come into this game.
Let’s not forget the Chiefs were -10 to a visiting Carolina team in Week 15.
Cleveland is a far better team than Carolina. However, we’re seeing the same number, +10 points, available at NFL sportsbooks.
With the public’s infatuation with the Chiefs, this one may also get to Browns +10.5 by the weekend.
I love the Browns in this spot, especially if we can get a +10.5 or better as we close get closer to kickoff.
The moneyline is also appealing at +390 for Cleveland. We’re getting almost 4/1 on this team pulling an upset and I do think they have a 30% chance or so of winning this game.
Cleveland +10 is my favorite wager of the weekend and it’s not close. This number does not make any sense.
- Pick: Cleveland Browns +10
- Pick: Cleveland Browns +390 (0.5 unit)
