2019 NHL All Star Game Predictions & Betting Odds
California gets ready to host the 2019 National Hockey League All-Star Game at the SAP Center in San Jose this weekend. This is the fourth edition in a row where each division has its own All-Star squad. The winner inside the Conference semifinal advances to the final. It’s a 3-on-3 single-elimination format that is catching up with the fans because there is some sort of competition out there. The element of an exhibition weekend still around, but teams have to win to advance, and that’s makes it fun. The semifinal stage will be Saturday, January 26. Let’ get right into the NHL All-Star Game Predictions.
NHL Central Team Vs. NHL Pacific Team Predictions
The Pacific team has won two of the last three All-Star editions, and they are the current Champs after beating Atlantic 5-2 last year. When you have such a skillful player on your division like Connor McDavid from the Oilers, stopping him with open ice on 3-on-3 becomes nearly impossible. That’s why they are favorites. Having Johnny Gaudreau from the Flames is not bad either. Between McDavid and Gaudreau have racked up 73 points for their teams this season and we are only halfway there.
Both are fast and two of the most exciting players in the league. Leon Draisaitl from Edmonton will be another to keep an eye on. First, he will be playing with teammate McDavid, and that’s an edge right there. Draisaitl has scored 27 goals and 34 assists this season for Edmonton. He’s a playmaker looking to make a name for himself.
The Central hopes Mikko Rantanen, who is second in the league in points, can fight back all the talent the Pacific roster has. Veteran Patrick Kane will be fun to watch. Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon is doubtful for the game. He underwent an MRI on his foot and could miss the All-Star Game. McKinnon is one of the most exciting young players. It’s just bad timing on this injury. While betting on the Central division has more value, there is too much individual talent on the Pacific side to bet any other way. What’s the play? Pacific -135.
NHL Metropolitan Team Vs NHL Atlantic Team Predictions
I fear there is another Pacific vs. Atlantic meeting in the NHL All-Star final. Atlantic has a lot of talent on their side and on 3-on-3 talented teams will always have the upper hand. Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos are part of the highest scoring team in the NHL, the Tampa Bay Lightning. They have just been on fire all season in open ice they should have a lot of fun and do some damage on the Metropolitan team.
The Metropolitan team has some legendary playmakers on their side between Canadians Sidney Crosby and Claude Giroux, but they seem to be outmatched in talent overall. For example, Kyle Palmieri is part of the New Jersey Devils who are one of the worst teams in the NHL. Palmieri is a good solid player, but he shouldn’t be near an All-Star game lineup. What’s the play? Atlantic -125.
NHL All-Star Game Final Predictions
We won’t find out about the betting odds on the final until we know the winners, but I’m thinking the Pacific will have a jump start as favorites. The McDavid and Gaudreau combination is just too good and exciting to bet any other way. Insane fast pace and high scoring games are what the Pacific promises us in the All-Star weekend. The betting odds are slim enough to take advantage of what looks like the better team. Bet the Pacific team. If you a fan of eSports and are in San Jose you should visit NHL Gaming house during the weekend.
