Nuggets Vs. Spurs Picks | NBA Playoffs Betting Odds Game 6

Boy, did the San Antonio Spurs get hammered on Tuesday Night. The Spurs will have a shot to get back in the series when they host the Denver Nuggets in Game 6 of the NBA playoffs first round, but they need to show a lot more pride. The Spurs had better nights that they one on Tuesday. They have been shoved and outplayed in two consecutive games in the series against the Nuggets. I was expecting a better version of San Antonio in Game 5, but it wasn’t even close to the expectations.

Denver Nuggets Vs. San Antonio Spurs Betting Preview

San Antonio hasn’t had an answer for Jamal Murray lately. The shock that the Spurs gave in Game 1 is almost forgotten now. The momentum is clearly on Denver’s side at this point. Murray has averaged 23.5 points per game in the last two of the series. Those two performances came right after he scored six points in Game 3. MyBookie.ag listed San Antonio -150 in the money line to win and force a Game 7.

That’s an implied winning probability of 60%, which to me seems over the top after watching what both teams showed in the last two games of the series. The bench of the Spurs has been a problem. If LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan don’t score over 25 points each, the team has not shot to win Game 6 and push to a winner takes all scenario. On the other side, there is a ton of value finding Denver +130 in the money line. The chance to win is about 44% according to the guys making the odds at MyBookie.

The momentum is on the Nuggets side, and they have the Spurs in the verge of elimination. San Antonio doesn’t have the experienced guys they used to, especially to handle moments like this one. It’s an excellent scenario for Denver to start the game fast and put on the pressure on the shoulders of the Spurs. Getting the Nuggets at +130 is actually a pretty good spot going into Game 6. Look, I was indeed disappointed in what the Spurs showed on Tuesday Night. Coach Gregg Popovich said after Game 5 the Nuggets just wanted it more.

The last thing you expect is another cruddy performance by San Antonio in the effort department. I just feel like Denver lost all the respect and fear they had to face the mythological coach Pop. They know they are the better team. Let’s grab Denver in the spread at +2.5 to take advantage of what the oddsmakers are giving us. But also let’s put some money on the money line. It’s worth it knowing the better team is ready to end this series.
