Oregon Ducks vs. Auburn Tigers – College Football Betting Picks And Odds
Having Oregon vs. Auburn during the first weekend of College Football is such a treat. During the season, these two teams might be top-ten worthy.
If we’re lucky enough, they might get to fight for their respective conference titles. There are high expectations about what Oregon might do this season.
The Ducks are listed +290 at MyBookie.ag to win the Pac-12. Only Utah at +260 and Washington at +280 have better odds.

Oregon Ducks vs. Auburn Tigers Betting Preview
Part of the high expectations is they will have ten starters on offense back from last season. NFL prospect Quarterback Justin Herbert decided to stay in Eugene one more season to have his best College season to date.
Last year he threw for 3151 yards and 29 touchdowns against eight interceptions. This year there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be even better.
Herbert will be behind an excellent offensive line that should give him enough time to dominate Auburn’s aggressive defense. WR Juwan Johnson, who transferred from Penn State is a mismatch worth watching.
The Tigers finished 8-5 last season and didn’t meet the expectations in 2018. Coach Gus Malzahn will have his team ready for this showdown against Oregon, but the quarterback position is a question mark.
Freshman QB Bo Nix will be under center for this game. He wasn’t around last season and starting the year in a matchup of such big stakes worries me a little. Nix is a five-star recruit with a lot of upsides, but he’s being thrown to the lions right from the start.
I’m expected to see a lot from the running back committee led by JaTarvious “Boobee” Whitlow, Kam Martin and Shaun Shivers. Last season the Tigers didn’t have a 1000-yard tailback, and this can’t happen two years in a row.
Odds Movement For Oregon vs. Auburn
When this game was made public, the betting line had Auburn as a 6.5-point favorite. The Tigers hadn’t even named a starting quarterback back then.
Now the line has dropped to 3.5, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes down to a field goal. 52% of the betting public is siding with Auburn in this one.
The game total was as high as 57.5 points, but it seems like it has settled at 55.5 points. I don’t expect much of a change from now until the kickoff.
Oregon vs. Auburn Betting Prediction
The Oregon offense should be just as exciting as the Chip Kelly days with Justin Herbert playing at quarterback. The offensive line that will protect him is massive and should dominate the line of scrimmage all game long.
Auburn is a good team, but it won’t show its best version in the first weekend of the season. QB Bo Nix is a work in progress. Take the points and bet on the Ducks +3.5.
