Quick Lane Bowl 2019: Pittsburgh Vs. Eastern Michigan Betting Line & Pick
Quick Lane Bowl 2019 Betting Preview
Pittsburgh was hoping for a much better end to the season and a chance at a more prestigious bowl, but after dropping its last two games to Virginia Tech and Boston College, it will have to settle for Detroit.
Eastern Michigan lost its last game to Kent State but is happy to be able to play in Detroit. It will definitely be a much tougher job to motivate the Panthers for this one.

Panthers Hope To Avenge Sun Bowl Loss
After a strong finish to the season last year and a loss to Clemson in the ACC championship game, the Panthers faced Stanford in the Sun Bowl and fell 14-13.
Pittsburgh will be looking for its first bowl win since 2013, when it defeated another Mid-American Conference opponent, Bowling Green, in Detroit in the Little Caesars Bowl.
Pittsburgh was actually playing its best football early this season. The Panthers lost to Penn State in a close game 17-10, then knocked off nationally-ranked UCF, 35-34. Their last win of the season was an overtime thriller against North Carolina, 34-27.
Kenny Pickett leads the Pittsburgh passing attack with 2,737 yards on 262 of 430 passing with 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Maurice Ffrench leads the team in receptions with 84 catches for 685 yards and three touchdowns.
A.J. Davis is the Panthers’ leading rusher with 532 yards on 126 carries with four touchdowns.
Jaylen Twyman has 10.5 sacks for Pittsburgh, followed by Patrick Jones II (8.5), Kylan Johnson (6.5), and Deslin Alexandre (5.5). Pittsburgh has racked up an impressive 49 sacks on the season.
Paris Ford has three interceptions to lead the Panthers. They have limited their opponents to only 302.5 yards and 21.8 points per game.
Eagles Making Only Fifth Bowl Appearance
Eastern Michigan has only been to four bowl games prior to this appearance. The Eagles’ last bowl win was in the California Bowl in 1987 over San Jose State.
They lost last year to Georgia Southern 23-21 in the Camellia Bowl. The Eagles’ best win of the year was an early-season road victory over another bowl team in Illinois.
The Eagles are led by quarterback Mike Glass III, who has thrown for 2,858 yards on 238 of 351 passing with 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Eastern Michigan’s top receiver is Arthur Jackson III, with 39 catches for 679 yards and six touchdowns. Shaq Vann leads the ground game with 667 yards on 136 carries with eight touchdowns.
The defense has been a big issue all year. The Eagles allow 428.3 yards and 30.3 points per game. Turan Rush leads the team in sacks with five, with no one else on the team having more than two.
Our Pittsburgh Vs. Eastern Michigan Quick Lane Bowl Betting Prediction
This Panthers defense can really get after the quarterback, racking up an impressive 49 sacks against many ACC offensive lines. I can’t see how Eastern Michigan keeps Glass upright.
Defensively, Eastern Michigan has really struggled to keep its opponents off the scoreboard. While the Pittsburgh offense doesn’t put fear into its opponents, I can’t see it going under 30 points in this one.
I like Pittsburgh to cover and stay motivated looking for the first bowl game win for the program since 2013. Take Pittsburgh -11.5.
