Raptors Vs. Bucks NBA Playoffs Game 2 | Expert Picks And Betting Odds

A fourth-quarter debacle caused the Toronto Raptors to miss on the chance to win Game 1. Also, the sportsbooks suffered as the public collected with the Milwaukee Bucks covering the spread late. Game 2 should be just as fun and crazy.

Toronto Raptors Vs Milwaukee Bucks Game 2 Betting Preview

The Bucks were down for as much as 13 points in Game 1 and never find themselves in the lead until the last few minutes of the contest. How did they cover as 6.5-point favorites? That’s easy. The Raptors blew it.

Other than Kyle Lowry, who scored the entire Raptors’ 17 points in the fourth quarter, the rest of the team went 0-15 from the field. It was a total chocked job by Toronto’s supporting cast. That includes Kawhi Leonard, who despite his 31 points had no contribution when his team required him the most.

Performance Of Both Teams

Toronto did a few things well, and that’s what they need to build from now on. Their defense held Giannis Antetokounmpo to 24 points as he went only 7-16 from the field. The Raptors close the basket for Giannis, and that’s what they will be looking to emulate in Game 2.

The Raptors can also feel good about the fact that the game was won by Brook Lopez, who scored 13 of his career playoff-high 29 points in the fourth quarter. Lopez has evolved as a shooter, but I hardly think he will get another performance like the one he had on Wednesday night.

What Do The Odds Look Like?

The series prices now have Toronto at +375 to win this series. That’s an implied probability of 21% the Raptors turn this series around after one loss and advance the finals. Just by looking at the performances of both teams in Game 1, you can realize this is going to be a long series. If you liked Toronto to advance to the finals from the start, it’s not time to give up on the play.

On the other side, the Bucks are now -500 with an implied probability of 83% to win and advance to the finals. Everybody is jumping on Milwaukee’s bandwagon, especially the Golden State Warriors. They seem to be the public’s team to end the Warriors Championship run. The Bucks know they will have their hand full with Toronto first.

Will The Bucks Cover The Spread Again?

Milwaukee is a 7 point favorite, close to their Game 1 spread. Yes, they covered the spread, but were a little lucky about the Raptors’ horrible fourth quarter. Toronto played a seven-game series against Philadelphia to the last second. Kawhi Leonard had no legs in the last minutes, and that’s understandable. I’m not expecting that to happen two games in a row.

Game 2 should be just as close as the last one, but with Toronto having a better shot at stealing one on the road. Either way, it feels like this is a one or two possessions game at the most.

What’s the play? Raptors +7.
