Rockets Vs. Warriors NBA Playoffs Game 2 | Expert Picks And Betting Odds

rockets vs warriors nba playoffs game 2 free betting picks

Referees aside Game 1 was a great matchup; just as we expected. It was very close with the Houston Rockets showing absolutely no fear against the Golden State Warriors. Game 2 should be another thriller. Game 1 ended in controversy. I’m starting with this so we can take it out of the way. It was terrible officiating against both teams. But because the Rockets lost, I suspect the referees to be a pulling a little to the side of Houston on Tuesday. Let’s just say we can expect a few 50-50 calls going their way.

Houston Rockets Vs. Golden State Warriors Betting Preview

The Warriors failed to cover as a 6-point favorite on Sunday. The betting line at MyBookie.ag for Game 2 opened with Golden State at 6.5-points, but that line didn’t last long. It quickly dropped a point to land at 5.5. I don’t expect any sudden movements before the tipoff. The game on Sunday proved a couple of things. First, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are clearly injured. They combined for a 5 of 15 from three-point land in Game 1. We have seen them have games like this one in the past, but this time they just looked out of sync. The other thing is the Warriors need Kevin Durant more than ever. If somehow Houston manages to make KD’s shot uncomfortable, then they will have a serious chance in this series.

MyBookie still believes the Warriors are going to win and advance. By the odds given, they are not expecting much of a contest. You can find Golden State -425 to win this series against Houston, with an implied probability of 81% of happening. Houston has the value on their side at +325. The Rockets are one game down but played toe-to-toe with the Warriors. The 24% chances given by the guys making the odds are good enough to take a shot. Now in terms of just betting the Game 2, it’s time for Houston to steal one on the road. If they could back to the Toyota Center with their backs against the wall, with two games down, then, this series will be a short one.

Houston needs to be a little more aggressive attacking the basket, just like the Clippers did in the first round. If Los Angeles stole two games on the road, I don’t see the Rockets going back home empty-handed. Most times I would say the Rockets are doomed. There is no way Klay and Steph will shoot the basketball so bad again, right? But this time it feels different. What Curry and Thompson have are ankle injuries that will bother them the rest of the series. Kevin Durant is the only scorer healthy, and while that would be enough against most teams in the NBA, it’s not against Houston.
