Rose Bowl 2019: Oregon Vs. Wisconsin Betting Line & Pick

Rose Bowl 2019 Betting Preview
One of the most famous bowls in College Football, the Rose Bowl, will have two of the best teams of the 2019 season: the Pac-12 champions, the Oregon Ducks, will take on the resilient Wisconsin Badgers.
This is a battle of two different styles. Oregon is led by a soon-to-be pro quarterback while Wisconsin loves to run the football.
Let’s break it down.

The Badgers opened as a field favorite for this game. Wisconsin is -3 or even -2.5, depending on the sportsbook where you search the line.
The betting public is also a little undecided. Wisconsin is getting 51% of the betting public.
The Oregon Ducks’ Form to face Wisconsin
The season for Oregon started with a tight loss to Auburn. Then, they picked it up by winning the next nine games in a row. It was until they met Arizona State that they lost the chance for a playoff spot.
Oregon’s form is not a surprise. Right from the start, we knew they had one of the best quarterbacks in the nation in Justin Herbert. The senior will try to end his journey with the Ducks with a win at one of the most prestigious bowls out there.
A Surprisingly Strong Defense
The Ducks score 35.9 points per game this season, but one of the most pleasant surprises was their defense.
Oregon allowed 15.7 points per game during the year and led the Pac-12 with19 interceptions, two of those were taken back for a score.
The Wisconsin Badgers’ Form to Face Oregon
Wisconsin had a similar development of the season. They earned six straight wins at the start of the year, including a fantastic win over Michigan, but then fell flat against Illinois and Ohio State on consecutive weeks.
One Of The Best Running Backs In College Football
The Badgers have one of the best running backs in football, and that’s the reason they are favorites to win.
Tailback Jonathan Taylor recorded the second-most rushing yards this season with 1909 yards and had the third-most rushing scores with 21.
Wisconsin’s defense held opponents to 16.1 points per game during the season. They allowed over 30+ points twice in the year, and both times were against the strong Ohio State offense.
Oregon vs. Wisconsin Rose Bowl Prediction
Oregon is a solid team that plays fast and will have the better quarterback on the field, yet they have the problem of having to stop Jonathan Taylor.
The Pac-12 Conference doesn’t have a running back like Taylor, nor a team so committed to pounding the football.
The game will be back and forth in terms of scoring, but by running the football, Wisconsin can control the tempo and dominate with long drives.
These two teams are very even, but I think the Badgers run the ball so much better and will control the contest. Bet Wisconsin -2.5.
