Steelers Vs. Jaguars – NFL Week 11 Best Bets Against the Spread | Betting Odds
Steelers -6.5 (-105) Vs. Jaguars +6.5 (-115) Total: 47 Points
After a rough start to the year, the Steelers are now back where most thought they would be at the beginning of the year – atop the AFC North. They have extended rest coming into this game against the Jaguars after blowing at the Panthers by a score of 52-21 in a game that wasn’t even close. Pittsburgh has a several game lead on the rest of the division at 6-2-1. The Jaguars were one of my favorite Super Bowls future bets this year. And, well, folks, you can’t get them all right. After losing to the Colts last week by a score of 29-26, they are now 3-6-1 on the season and have almost no hope of making the postseason. Their defense has been a shell of what it was last year, and Blake Bortles has regressed.
The public has been on Pittsburgh so far, with nearly 80% of bets coming in on the Steelers. The spread hasn’t moved on the Steelers -5 at most sportsbooks, but there are a few books with Jacksonville +6.5 and Pittsburgh -6.5, such as MyBookie.ag. With all that said – I still like them in this spot. The Steelers have notoriously poor home and away splits, which go back several seasons. Mike Tomlin regularly abandons game plans and does not prepare for opponents correctly. However, this is a pricing play more than anything. If the spread were closer to 3 points, then the Steelers would be the play in this spot. We also may see this one move closer to 7 points as the weekend approaches. I like this one regardless as I still think Jacksonville is better than their record indicates.
