Houston Texans Vs. Kansas City Chiefs NFL Playoffs Divisional Round Betting Picks And Odds
When the Texans came back from a 16-point deficit, no one was shocked.
Deshaun Watson put all his magic in display, and he will need to do it again if Houston wants to have a shot of upsetting the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL divisional round.
These two teams already met in Kansas City, when Houston stole a win 31-24. Let’s dive in.

The Chiefs are big favorites at home currently listed -9.5 over the Texans. The opening line had Kansas City -8, but it didn’t last long.
The bets coming to this game don’t have a solid favorite. 51% of the public thinks the Chiefs will cover the spread.
The Houston Texans’ Edge Vs. The Chiefs
The last image of the Texans in their game against Kansas City Chiefs was the one of a winning team, but they didn’t look that way most of the time.
Houston was outplayed by Buffalo most of the game during the wildcard round. They were saved by the performances of their two biggest stars.
QB Deshaun Watson was fantastic in the 22-19 win over the Bills, completing 20 of 25 passes for 247 and one touchdown. He also added another rushing score during a 20-yard run.
The key Players
Watson mostly made things happen, even though the Bills defense was not giving him anything. I don’t like he won that game by himself, but it’s hard to argue about it when you look at how the game developed during crunch time.
The other key player was JJ Watt, who sparked his team with a sack when they were down 16 points.
The problem for Houston is if they go down by two touchdowns against the Chiefs, the result of the game is unlikely to be similar to the one last weekend.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ Edge Vs. The Texans
Kansas City was not expecting to rest the first week of the NFL playoffs, but a Patriots’ loss to Miami ended up with the team having a bye. Their meeting with Houston is a favorable matchup for the home team.
Sure, the Chiefs lost the first game against the Texans this season, but that feels like ages ago. Kansas City has improved their defense, and Patrick Mahomes has settled back after suffering a scary injury against the Broncos early in the season.
Kansas City enters this game with six wins in a row, including double-digit wins against the Raiders, Broncos, Bears, and Chargers. The only game during the span that was a one-score result was against the New England Patriots.
The one guy that could have a fantastic game is TE Travis Kelce. He had 97 catches for 1229 yards and five touchdowns this season. Those are wide receiver numbers.
Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs NFL Playoffs Predictions
The quarterback position has two of the best in the game, with Deshaun Watson going against Patrick Mahomes. However, the weapons for each one are entirely different.
Other than DeAndre Hopkins, Watson doesn’t have a player he trusts as much. Instead, Mahomes has Tyreek Hill. Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins, and LeSean McCoy.
The Kansas City Chiefs defense has also played a lot better in the second half of the season. Houston cannot say the same.
I don’t see how the Texans stay in this game. They were fortunate against Buffalo. Kansas City won’t make the same mistakes.
